Just to jump on the doc's defense he has probably had several patients die to COVID and prefers you to not die from COVID as well. I know it is shocking but most docs actually care about their patients.

I don't press people on vaccines for COVID or anything else. I tell them what I recommend and what the ACIP recommends and give them what they want. I am not going to change their vaccine faith decisions in 10 minutes anyway just a waste of both parties time.

It's part of a doctor's job to give you medical advice. Just because you don't agree with it, or refuse to take it, doesn't mean he's wrong nor that he shouldn't try do his job as best he sees it.

If you turn out to be one of the unlucky ones that the damn virus kills, or it gives you long-term complications, or you pass it to some vulnerable person, his conscience is clear.

Weird how all these guys with years of medical training and practice give you medical advice and you ignore it. The real pandemic here is the plague of ignorant doctors giving out bogus medical advice. Any person who does his research would know these legions of doctors are all dumb, misinformed or agents of the deep state.

Next time I go in for a check up I fully expect to be told I should get a covid shot, just like I'm told I should get a flu shot. That's normal and expected advice.

Anything beyond that, unless the doc has a specific medical concern with the client, is cause for concern. If I go to the doctor and I'm seriously urged like OP was to get the covid shot, I'd find another doctor.

Doctors should be educating patients the pros AND cons of a vaccine that wasn't properly tested and approved like normal. The American public deserves the factual information so they can make an informed decision.

I went earlier this week for yearly checkup. He asked me if I was vaccinated, I told him no I had the real deal already. He spent maybe 3-5 seconds about the vaccine and said they offered it. Then moved on to the next subject.

So the overwhelming consensus of the medical community has it wrong; the non-medical far righties on this board have the accurate medical assessment? Sounds . . . Less than probable.

Because I agree that Trump mishandled the pandemic. I genuinely don't think I've seen anyone on this board defend his handling of the pandemic for, at least, months. Yet you act like you're posting the perfect gotcha every time the topic comes up.

The real problem and the annoying thing is that you never go further into your viewpoints than "we should really blame ourselves for not holding Trump and conservatives accountable."

It was literally the original post in the thread. It's the post that we are talking about. We are talking about that doctor providing faulty data to coax someone into making a personal medical decision and how, I believe, it is unethical to do that. It's not right to scare people into making a personal medical decision.
