I went to the doctor a few days ago for something unrelated to COVID-19. However, I got a 10 minute lecture on why I need to get the COVID-19 vaccine during my appointment. My doctor even tried to guilt me into getting it by saying that I need to get vaccinated so old people who are high risk do not get sick from me. My doctor also tried to scare me by saying COVID-19 has a 1/100 risk of death. I said the last time I checked, the COVID-19 death rate was much less than 1%, especially for someone my age. Other points of conversation included that I needed to get the vaccine to keep medical workers like my doctor safe. Um, hello? I wasn't the one who made you become a doctor. You knew the risks going into your profession.

Are all doctors doing this BS now? I'm going to look for a new doctor.

If you don't have the antibodies it probably isn't a bad idea to get a vaccine. But no one should pressure you or guilt you into it any more than they would for the flu vaccine.

My doctor did the same thing a little over a month ago when I went in for a wellness check. I have been friends with this physician for over 20 years. He also tried to talk me in to getting it since I work in healthcare.

Nope. The only questions my doctor asked me about the China virus was if I had it since the last time I saw him, or if I had gotten the vaccine. Told him no to both and he fully agrees on not getting vaccines unless the person is very high risk. He also said if I do get the virus, call his office and he'll prescribe Ivermectin if I want it.

He also refers to Fauci as "that little worm."

Edit: The "nope" refers to my doctor's response about virus and vaccines. Saw him a few weeks ago.

I heard a caller on the radio today say that her doctors office notified her that they would no longer do in-person visits with patients who had not taken the vaccine. Said she lives in a mid-sized town in Colorado and that she started checking around to find a new doctor that was approved under her insurance plan and had several others tell her the same thing.

Mark it down, one way or another they are going to try and force everyone to get the vaccine. This country is treading dangerous ground.

I remember in the 80s Nancy Reagan telling us kids not to give in to peer pressure and taking experimental drugs. Who knew.....

Same. My wellness check Dr. said he was not getting the vaccine and that his Dad in his 90s was not getting a COVID vaccine either.

He did highly recommend that I get the Shingrix shingles vaccine which I got the first dose of that day.

because its not FDA approved. its authorized under emergency use....

Ask a doctor urging anyone to get vaccinated how many unapproved drugs do they prescribe anyway? Isn't that illegal?

Had my physical last week. My doctor did the same but she was totally going through the motions with it. I could tell she was checking a box because she's very personable and down to earth otherwise. I just smiled and said I'll think about it later.

I like her though so I'm not going to punish her over it.

Do we have the same Dr? I have been twice since the vaccine came out and he has attempted to guilt trip me both times. This time, he gave me a story about one of his patients that didn't get it and will be a vegetable the rest of his life. Sorry do, not going to work.

Full disclosure: I am a Type 2 diabetic ( have good numbers with a healthy diet and medicine) and hypertension (again, under control.) I am at risk but will fight the disease of I get it with other means. If it kills me, it kills me. Who is to say the vaccine won't kill me?
