I had open heart surgery in 2007 for a hole in my heart. It was fixed and life moves on. Covid hits and my doctor said to get the shot because of my heart. I get shot 1 and 2 in spring of 2021. Last fall I have surgery for my gall bladder and upper hernia. I have my surgery, they send me home and it was 10 minutes of me being home that my heart goes into AFIB. I get rushed to the hospital and have to get a shock to get my heart back in rhythm. They do tests on my heart. I wear a heart monitor. I get an MRI on my heart and the doctor says my heart is fine and if I get AFIB again let him know. He said they don't have a reason why my heart did that.

I believe it was attributed to the shot. Won't get the shot again.

The angst and burning desire among some on this board to find something wrong with the vaccine to validate their decision not to take it is unreal.

It's a new thread every single day.

It reminds me of how libs like Beto were outright rooting for Covid to spike again to validate their team.

Any go-backs?

It's not a real vaccine and I'm not an anti-vaxxer.
what is it then if not a vaccine?
It minimizes the symptoms if you catch covid, it doesn't prevent you from contracting it.
that is not true at all

Any go-backs?

Checking in. Where we at with all this?
When the OP was made, I was out of the hospital a week after having been in for 3 weeks.

I went into the hospital septic, having had a heart attack, 3 weeks after the J&J shot. 47 years old. Have heart issues that will never go away.

The 'minimize symptoms' argument is hilarious because it's not provable.

Why not just say 'it makes symptoms worse'? This statement isn't provable either.

What is provable is Pedo Pete said you get the jab so you don't get covid. This is a false statement and is easily proved false.
...the Big 12 is now viewed as the fifth of the big BCS leagues by many recruits. (Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell; August 2013)

Already the weakest of the “Power Five” conferences, the league (Big 12) is hemorrhaging fans, wins, TV ratings and respect. (SA Express R. Bragg; Oct 12, 2016)

I monitor my heart daily now. Walk 3 miles a day trying to strengthen it. Also lost some weight. I have felt my heart flutter off and on but never has gone out of beat again. The fact the MRI showed nothing wrong besides what my original open heart was surgery was is scary. I am 49. The doctor basically said see you in a year.

Then why are vaccinated people now comprising the majority of covid deaths? Even if there are more vaccinated than unvaccinated, that doesn't really sell the shot. Why should someone risk myocarditis, clots, etc...for a shot that is non-neutralizing and doesn't significantly prevent chances of death from the original target of concern?

There was an engineer that tried to stop the Challenger launch.

He was ignored and they launched anyway.

This is groupthink but on a global scale.
That guy came and spoke to my engineer ethics class back in 1999. He couldn't get through his presentation without choking up and having to take a break. Still weighed that heavy on him well over a decade later. In the end, he was overruled by more senior guys and he felt he had to just shut up and let it ride... was something I will never forget and it definitely left an impression on me about group think and sticking to your convictions.

I have been in similar situations (opposing the group consensus) and lost my job over it. I was right in the end but obviously no one wins in that situation. Sadly, if/when it arises again I will keep my mouth shut.

You went into Afib because you had surgery, it's one of the most common post-op complications.

Vaxxers I saw over thanksgiving looked like they gained a noticeable amount of weight over the past year. Looked bloated. I'm getting concerned.

But, nary a peep about it though. Folks that raged the hardest this time last year … nary a peep.
