I think it's more of people just call out idiocy like "it's not a real vaccine". Morons deserve ridicule.

99% of the problems I've had in life can be attributed to me ignoring my own instinct and following the crowd.SoupNazi2001 said:

If you want to bury your head in the sand, fine, but don't act like it's completely safe. It's obviously very dangerous for some people.
not defensive.. It's ultimate rumor spreading to justify your political orthodoxy.. It's almost never "I got sick" or my "my wife got sick."SoupNazi2001 said:

It's a new thread every single day.
It reminds me of how libs like Beto were outright rooting for Covid to spike again to validate their team.

Of course hes/he can't type whatever he wants that is not offensive/threatening/etc..That wasn't the point, obviously.Onceaggie2.0 said:actually he cant type what he wants as long as it fits the rules of this board.Aston04 said:Good lord, enough of these convoluted anecdotal stories. It doesn't prevent people from getting covid. But it reduces the chances of contacting it... and if you do contract it, will most likely reduce its severity... There's no way all those Yankees would have known they had it if not the crazy protocols (now outdated, post vaccine availability) they have to do with testing.Earl_Rudder said:Oh really genius?Ragoo said:that is not true at allPrognightmare said:It minimizes the symptoms if you catch covid, it doesn't prevent you from contracting it.Ragoo said:what is it then if not a vaccine?Prognightmare said:It's not a real vaccine and I'm not an anti-vaxxer.slyfox07 said:

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres tested positive for Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated and having previously contracted the coronavirus during the offseason.
Torres is among eight so-called breakthrough positives among the Yankees people who tested positive despite being fully vaccinated.

Earl, you are making a classic logic error - essentially saying that anything that is not 100% effective is by definition 0% effective. Not logical, and not true.Earl_Rudder said:Oh really genius?Ragoo said:that is not true at allPrognightmare said:It minimizes the symptoms if you catch covid, it doesn't prevent you from contracting it.Ragoo said:what is it then if not a vaccine?Prognightmare said:It's not a real vaccine and I'm not an anti-vaxxer.slyfox07 said:

If you already had covid, or if we're talking about a kid under 12 who doesn't really spread it, then screw the vaccine. But for everybody else, there is no data that makes a compelling case against it. None.

Checking in. Where we at with all this?
Current data shows this is not true at all. Almost everyone I know got COVID and they were all vaccinated.Slyfox07 said:
New data out today shows that chances of catching Covid if vaccinated is about 1 in 10,000
Just FYI.
