I think it's more of people just call out idiocy like "it's not a real vaccine". Morons deserve ridicule.

Good lord, enough of these convoluted anecdotal stories. If you don't want the vaccine, fine. You don't need to sell everyone with this crap.

If you want to bury your head in the sand, fine, but don't act like it's completely safe. It's obviously very dangerous for some people.

They arent the ones starting the threads, broseph...

It's the ones seeking approval and validation in their decision NOT to get the vaccine. Every damn time.

99% of the problems I've had in life can be attributed to me ignoring my own instinct and following the crowd.

Listen to your own instinct.

Yes.

The one thing I've learned over the past few months, those that have had the vaccine become upset when they ask and hear why I choose not to get the vaccine. They are not 100% confident in their decision and the last thing the want to hear is data showing them it could have been a mistake. It's understandable. They got the vaccine to make this whole mess go away and the last thing they want to to stress about the long term effects of an emergency vaccine. I no longer discuss my reasons why I will not get this vaccine with those already vaccinated.

I have an autoimmune disorder, the minute my body senses injury, my immune system over responds...to the extreme. I deal with swelling, GI symptoms, and uveitis. There is zero data on the long term effects of RNA vaccines on humans with similar conditions (other then animal trials, and we know how that went). CDC guidelines essentially state: we have zero data, but we think it is safe.

I am not high risk for Covid complications. I have not had Covid. I will not get this vaccine. I do not get flu vaccines for the same reason. I have actually never had the flu. My husband recently found out that he has Cv19 antibodies, I do not according to my antibody blood test. He had no symptoms and will not get a vaccine. We will absolutely not vaccinate our 9 and 11 year olds.

not defensive.. It's ultimate rumor spreading to justify your political orthodoxy.. It's almost never "I got sick" or my "my wife got sick."

It's almost always "my brother's roommate's sister, etc..." and we are supposed to be impressed by that? But carry on with the bs in this echo chamber.

If you want to address why not to take it on the merits, fine.. If you don't want to acknowledge thr benefit of enhanced herd immunity being built by the vaccine, fine..

It reminds me of how libs like Beto were outright rooting for Covid to spike again to validate their team.
It's not a real vaccine and I'm not an anti-vaxxer.
what is it then if not a vaccine?
It minimizes the symptoms if you catch covid, it doesn't prevent you from contracting it.
that is not true at all
Oh really genius?

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres tested positive for Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated and having previously contracted the coronavirus during the offseason.

Torres is among eight so-called breakthrough positives among the Yankees people who tested positive despite being fully vaccinated.

I'm sure moon landing conspiracy theorists say that about how defensive Buzz Aldrin gets when they talk about how the moon landing was fake

Pro covid vaccine People are simply defending their position against anti covid vaccine people and the threads started by mostly anti vaccine people.

I keep seeing posts like "give me A credible source the vaccines are safe" but don't like the CDC answer, don't like the trump answer, don't like the WHO answer, don't like the 100+ countries' governments, don't like the vast majority professional health organizations answers, don't like the answer from credible manufacturers of vaccines (even with CEOs getting them). The head of the vast majority of these entities have or are getting the vaccine so it's not the case of "do as I say not as I do" . What organization(s)/ entity's testimony on the vaccine would need to sway your opinion that it works and is safe?

Health insurance companies? UHC and Aetna believe the CDC on the effectiveness and safeness of the vaccine. And it is in THEIR best financial interest that you don't go to the hospital.

If/when FDA approved for full use will you be convinced that it is safe and effective then or would you be more willing to get it?

If you don't want the vaccine. That is your business. The great thing about a vaccine is that the people getting vaccinated don't need to worry about getting or spreading it to the degree it has been in the past.

It doesn't prevent people from getting covid. But it reduces the chances of contacting it... and if you do contract it, will most likely reduce its severity... There's no way all those Yankees would have known they had it if not the crazy protocols (now outdated, post vaccine availability) they have to do with testing.

1) vaccines work
2) some people will have side effects
3) this is nothing more than the Fru shot, like the flu shot
4) I'm not getting it, like the flu shot, since I have a working immune system and don't fear yet another in a line of weak respiratory viruses from Chi-nuh.
5) the rampant conspiracy theories against the vaccines is as silly as the idiocy of thinking COVID is dangerous or deadly and that masks work, we should close everything down and isolate humanity.

Earl, you are making a classic logic error - essentially saying that anything that is not 100% effective is by definition 0% effective. Not logical, and not true.

One of the more bizarre phenomenon of the politicization of covid and the vaccine is liberals' sudden love of big pharma. The people that were railing against big pharma collusion with government and their profit-over-health exploitation of the public are the very same liberals now saying it's our societal duty to get injected with an experimental drug that pharma companies are going to gain $Bs in revenue without any legal protections for the public. The hypocrisy of it all has me firmly believing that it's just insufferable virtue signaling in both cases.

If you already had covid, or if we're talking about a kid under 12 who doesn't really spread it, then screw the vaccine. But for everybody else, there is no data that makes a compelling case against it. None.

For me, the reason has less to do with long-term side effects/concerns with the virus, but in making it easier for the government/businesses to mandate vaccines. In my mind, correctly or incorrectly, I feel it is harder to make a mandate if there are 30% holdouts as opposed to 5%. I don't want to get sick from COVID (or have to quarantine), but I am torn on doing my part to help hold the line.

FYI - my mother who is high risk won't get it but I am trying to encourage her to do so.
