Reports of myocarditis have been mostly in adolescents and young adults, are more common in males than females, typically occur after the second dose, and show up about 4 days after vaccination

Covid is super dangerous for adolescents and young adults right? Totally worth the risk.

I thought myocarditis was going to kill half our football team. Did that not happen?

Few below 50 should take it at all until they have a better grasp on just what is true or not about side-effects. Definitely not lower than 25 --- much of the body is still growing and changing, not least the brain is not fully developed.

The CDC noted that the rates of Myocarditis in young adults following the COVID-19 vaccine "have not differed from expected baseline rates."

Still not necessary to get the vaccine unless they have a significant underlying condition but nothing to get freaked out about.

The angst and burning desire among some on this board to find something wrong with the vaccine to validate their decision not to take it is unreal.

It's a new thread every single day.

It reminds me of how libs like Beto were outright rooting for Covid to spike again to validate their team.

There was an engineer that tried to stop the Challenger launch.

He was ignored and they launched anyway.

This is groupthink but on a global scale.

People have only recently been taking the vaccine. Where do the "experts" come off claiming it's working? Because people who have had the vaccine haven't caught it?

You are using common sense. That has been abolished by the Establishment in the 21st Century.

Yes, common sense and just the most elemental deductive logic would say that the time since Nov-Dec 2020 has been too short to claim anything that definitively yet, and some sense of caution is appropriate for people who have almost no important level of risk from the disease itself. It makes no sense to take a major hit to your system for preventive reasons when a direct hit from what you are worried about is liable to have little impact. This is the case with youth and kids.

I'm 35. I took it. I've ran 460 miles and cycled 1000 miles already this year.

I took it because I don't like being sick. Hate it. So there was a free out to eliminate that chance. I also like the idea that I am not contributing to future spread.

Regardless of its affect on you personally, if you have been infected with covid you are a link in the global spread.

It minimizes the symptoms if you catch covid, it doesn't prevent you from contracting it.

Ummm... no

Studies show that COVID-19 vaccines are effective at keeping you from getting COVID-19. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine will also help keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19.

You can still get it, still have symptoms from it and still possibly spread it.

the current data says better than 90% of #2 and there fore #3 not happening. Furthermore if you do get symptoms the resulting symptoms are then mild.

This lady should be completely ignored. Sorry, but she is clueless.

"CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said they have found no link between the vaccines and heart inflammation or myocarditis.

"We have not seen a signal, and we've actually looked intentionally for the signal in the over 200 million doses we've given," Dr. Walensky said at a White House briefing on April 27."

I love the "it's not a real vaccine" schtick.

It absolutely is. Just because it uses a different mechanism to create antibodies (immunity) than traditional vaccine types (of which there are several), doesn't mean that it isn't a vaccine.

It also isn't "experimental". That's another misnomer being thrown around because people don't understand how vaccine trials and FDA approvals work.

As I've said repeatedly, if you choose not to take it, I support that decision 100%. Vaccinating kids is unnecessary (IMO) and passports are a hard no.

But can we please stop with the obviously false narratives surrounding this thing? For the first time in over a year the world is finally getting back to normal, and it wasn't the useless masks that did it. It was the safe and effective vaccines that trump made possible that have now been taken by hundreds of millions of people that are finally ending this scourge the Chinese communists gave us.

In every great **** up in history, there had to been a few guys in the back muttering that we shouldn't be doing this.

We are those guys.

And then every time nothing happened, those people muttering to themselves faded back into the crowd and nobody remembered them.

How many people were saying "this apollo mission is a bad idea" or "a human flying machine!? What a terrible idea"...

Nobody remembers, but I'm certain they existed.

Of course on the off chance that something unforeseen does go wrong (challenger), they get to come out of the woodwork and thump their chest.

That's what these threads are about.

Not that many dots actually, you said this...

I provided a very easy to understand example about people who muttered that something was wrong. You don't seem smart.
