now go back through his tweets the last few days where he has outright lied, misrepresented information and initiated false attacks built entirely on false premises.

Agree 100%! But as long as it sounds good that's all that's important. Don't let performance, facts or the truth get in your way. They are socialists and socialists are not welcome in my world.

SJL and Joaquin, and Beto for that matter, are doing a hell of a lot more for Texans in need while not getting anything in return when they certainly don't have to. They could post up in their nice houses and drink martinis all day and fly back to DC when congress resumes the session.

But keep defending your boy Ted aka Trump's lap dog because omg guys he stressed he need vacay. He confirm right wing judges, that enough 4 me.
SJL in DC yesterday

Beto is in El Paso, which isn't having any problems

To the people who think Texas operating as a 3rd world country is no big deal while our most powerful leaders take off for vacation:

You are the non-thinkers. I don't expect govt to provide for my family. What I do expect is the govt I pay taxes to functions better than the Congo. That is not unreasonable or "non-thinking".

It's funny how you insult me like that, while not offering anything substantive. That's pretty much all the GOP is today thanks to Trump. Just a sad group of angry people who insults anyone different from them as "*******"

Oh cry me a friggin' River

Conservatives have tried to engage liberals in policy debate on this forum for years, and of course liberals never show up

Well unless they are taking a shot at the character of conservatives on this board and in general

But hey look at this! Cruz goes to Mexico and suddenly it's a who's who of whiney liberals bawling over all over themselves

And like clockwork they'll disappear and be nowhere to be found when Biden, AOC, or some other liberal says or does something stupid (and trust me, they will), or a policy debate actually arises here

Where have you been during the dozens of threads dealing with actual policy? I mean, other than weed?

What would you like for Cruz to do? He represents the state at a federal level, and Biden has already approve federal resources and funds, so there's nothing Cruz can or needs to do. It's now up to Abbot, the state senate, state reps, and city leaders to handle the issues. Nothing the feds need to do, nor do I want another federal politician in front of a camera for "optics."

Really? After fours years of Trump spouting off that liberals are destroying America, that all they do is bow down to China and "steal" American jobs. That they want to turn this country into a Venezuela-like failed state?

Trump has successfully brainwashed you into believing that 50% of America is your enemy and want to destroy your way of life. And the only way to keep that from happening was to keep him in power. Trump was bad for America. He's a New York huckster who made you believe that your success depended on his success, and as January 6th proved he was as best passive about things turning violent to stay that way.

I knew that before Trump became President. And because I didn't think he held that view since he made all of his wealth and status by being friends with libs I never thought he was sincere.

Once I saw that he was in fact sincerely supportive of the little guy in this country and prescribed a whole host of policies which in fact did help the little guy (thoughtful immigration, careful and balanced trade with China and Europe, common sense cultural issues) I became a big fan.

Trump has become the 'cost center' for many of you. But this sentiment extends much further back than Trump. I do think he did a good job of highlighting how little 'America First' attitude many people in this country have these days.

But do people really think conservatives are 'just now' bringing up these issues?

Stop making this a trump vs everyone else thing. Stop dividing into 'teams' and picking sides, just to pick sides. Look at each issue, and decide the merits of it....without listening to what you think your team wants you to decide.
