Yikes. You're concerned about Ted's undies. I hope you're a woman.

You voted for a guy who has less testosterone than a lesbian bridal party.

Sure did and my guy won. Sorry yours lost. Not really though.
You're complaining about Cruz, so I'd say my guy won as well. Your guy is in El Paso trying to get another failed campaign off the ground so he can go around telling Texans he's going to take their guns.
I wonder who he's going to send?
There's no way that chickenshi$ is going to do it himself.

And certainly not his blowhard followers.

Where does that put you?
Moreover it's not even Ted's fault. Reading his statement school is down for the week and his girls asked to bail.

Libs and their racist pedos like Justice Roberts and Biden make me sick.

So much manufactured outrage. Leftists rediscover compassion only when they can gain political power from it.

Of course he won't be the one to do it, and he'll melt when LEO tells him to go eff himself.

And now 21 pages without a coherent reply about what Ted Cruz could legislatively accomplish in DC that couldn't be done remotely. Congratulations, F16 libs! You have shown, once again, that the "Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" noises in your heads prevents any rational thought other than "feels" and "appearances". Of course, we knew that already.

That's a lot of electricity being used for those calls during a time when we are asked to conserve energy. Not good optics.

He can be out in the community. Checking on those in need. He has influence to make things happen. This shows a complete lack of awareness or a lack of compassion. He can help set-up calling lists to check on senior citizens. He can help communicate critical information. He could use his influence to help the state.

I realize he won't be able to pass national legislation quickly enough to make an impact but IMO being elected senator you have a greater responsibility than just passing legislation. Your state deserves the influential power you hold to try and help them. Get on the phones with other senators/ governors to ask for assistance they can send.

Most were not zoom calls. They asked for volunteers to call and check on senior citizens. Not sure how anyone can be honest with themselves and say that's a bad idea.

Shouldn't that be Abbott's job?

Cruz doesn't know what specifics the state needs.

He can call up Josh Hawley and what? We send them bottles of water and gooey butter cake?

More national coverage of Cruz's travel plan than there has been during this entire ordeal.

Hey ****ers in the press, we still have friends and family cold without power. How about you report on that? Lack of winterized turbines - no nuclear plants built since the 70s - no reporting - nothing?

We still have liberal counties like Harris with no progress on drainage 4 years after Harvey. Where's the wall to wall press coverage on that?

It's total bull***** The story about a guy with a phone sitting in his house starving instead of calling 911 or a local rescue facility is total crap.

How about walking to your next door neighbor? Call 911. Call the sheriff. Call a relative. Call a friend. No, instead you sit 2 days starving waiting for Beto to call.

Its all lies. Libs are liars.

There shouldn't be an issue with Cruz or Biden or any other politician not coming to Texas during this problem. It's not like they would be out there in insulated overalls joining in to help.

What about local mayors and city council members? Perhaps that task is already being filled sufficiently?

He can help set-up calling lists to check on senior citizens. He can help communicate critical information.
Sounds like he has already done all the basic level of sharing information via social media, etc

Get on the phones with other senators/ governors to ask for assistance they can send.
Sounds like he and his team are already doing this
Additionally, this Cancun trip aside, if he goes out on a rescue mission into the community, WHO exactly is home with HIS FAMILY to ensure they are taken care of?

a U.S. Senator is not your Savior. He is not a first responder. He is not even your neighbor.

Quit being so dramatic!

Abbott's job would include but also be much more than that. Cruz has the influence to help communities in need. There is plenty of opportunity in our large state to help and check on people.

And Hawley is from Missouri but talking to state leaders/ governors/ etc from other states is something Cruz could do.

If you want to deflect and defend him then ok. It's also ok to admit people you vote for make mistakes. Doesn't mean they suck overall.

Maybe I'm old school and believe those that live in the community know who are most in need are better to be checked on by those within the community, not a politician who will have cameras around. But you're right in he has influence, and that influence can be exerted from anywhere in the world.

Do you know for a fact this hasn't happened? Also, it's Abbott's job to talk with other governors for assistance, not Cruz's.

Faustus, it's really pretty easy, he should have done what every other responsible parent would have done and said "No". I'm a US Senator and have a responsibility to my community.

Sorry, but thousands of working Americans make these kinds of decisions all the time because of their jobs. No reason why Cruz, a US Senator, paid by the taxpayers can't do the same thing.

This is such horse manure.

He's not the Designated Comforter.

He is not Senator to hold your hand and pat you on the back.

All he could do is show up for a photo op, and waste resources of the local officials trying to get crap done.

Twenty five million Texans, if he split with Cornyn, they could probably get around to all of us in 100 years.
