Well you DEMs just voted in the person who used the FBI as part of their deep state operation to spy on Trump, so back at you.. By the way, where's Hunter these days? Probably partying it up since his laptop is no longer an issue...That is it won't be an issue unless you think Joe Biden is going to clean up the FBI?
Voted for Trump. Just roll my eyes at all the deep staters. You guys make Trump sound like the most incompetent man ever to be in office.
4 years and his whole Cabinet were evil RINO plants, his generals were political animals and Dems, the FBI and CIA were deep state spies, any liberal policies or spending weren't Trump's fault, etc.
He has the power to choose his own Cabinet, generals, FBI and CIA leadership and sign bills into law. And yet the deep state and government grew bigger under his leadership? What the hell was he doing?!
I agree, he appointed a lot of the wrong people. He was alone in a sea of swamp creatures, honestly...I think things would have been much different had the FBI not set up Flynn on Day 1. That dude scared the crap out of Obama and the Deep State..So much so that Obama made a point to tell Trump he was dangerous and could not be trusted before he left office. He might have gave Trump some really good advice on how to clean up the Swamp in DC. Have you ever seen the documentary about Flynn that the Congressman Devon Nunes helped make? Pretty good stuff. Flynn was a war hero, and made many innovations on how the military fought Jihadist/terrorists. I guess Obama didnt like that he was efficient at killing his Muslim brothers...
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to have an "outsider" in the White House. For all his talk about fighting the swamp, he had absolutely no idea how to fight them and hired mostly swamp people into his administration.
Only hope we can come up with a better option in 2024. At the end of the day, Trump didn't enact any meaningful change (just like Obama). Nearly all of his actions were by executive order, his tax cuts expire for individuals and no other meaningful legislation was completed.
You have a point there, but it doesn't lead to a candidate in the WH able to do it. Even at risk of Civil War, a group of states needs to get together and by a combination of nullification and demand start taking power back away from D.C. They need to demand the departments be dispersed around the 50 states as well, to break up the concentration of crony wealth in that corridor up to Manhattan. Only the 50 states can force reform of the Beltway. If anyone could have, it was President Trump's forceful manner---- what he has simply proven is it cannot be reformed from within or by internal process of the federal action. It will simply encapsulate and has.
This would short of the convoluted Convention of States approach (another option to be sure) and just an informal `inventing' and use of power much like the federal deep state has been doing. It would be a coalition of fed up states simply leveraging change. The dispersal one particularly would start having some immediate impact if imposed.
