I don't understand why the data has to even be deleted...I feel like the data should be kept somewhere safe for at least 4-8 years before deleting in case law suits are later brought up.

So infuriating they act like this. If I acted like this at my business my a$$ would be fired
If businesses have to keep their records for the IRS for 7 years then election data should be held to at the very least the same standard.
I've read in several places that the retention requirement for election data, for most states, is 25 months.
Then either throw out that state's EC vote or put her up against a wall and shoot her. I volunteer to be on the firing squad.
I really do appreciate that sentiment, but in the interest of not getting this thread locked or deleted, lets please not talk about who needs violence directed at them. Great way to give the mods an excuse to shut it down.

Mods just ban and delete posts, they won't kill the thread. However, tampering with an election is considered treason and is punishable by death so I'd like to see the explanation for the ban by simply wanting to enforce the law and said punishment.

I continue to think this looks like the GOP are stalling trying to find more because this is a nothing burger.

Federal is 22 months according to several docs including this one they are trying to make a big deal out of. It states explicitly

Quote:

FEDERAL BALLOT RETENTION REQUIREMENT:If the office of President, U.S. Senator or U.S. Representative in Congress appears on the ballot (all appeared on the November3,2020 general electionballot), federal law requires that all documents relating to the election --including optical scan ballots and the programs used to tabulate optical scan ballots --be retained for 22 monthsfrom the date of the certification of the election. To comply with the requirement, the Bureau of Elections recommends that optical scan ballots and the programs relating to federal elections be stored in sealed ballot bagsin a secure place during the 22-month retention period. The documents subject to the federal retention requirement must not be transferred to ballot bags for extended retention until after they are released under Michigan election law as detailed in this memo.

This is not a nothing burger at all. The Michigan election is still clearly in a contested status. There are active lawsuits and requests for audits by several parties. Their law says that the data should be purged UNLESS it is still be contested or audited. Since it is still being contested or audited, her actions are an attempt to interfere with the proper adjudication of the election outcome and should be treated as tampering with the election.
Maybe aggiehawg will chime in here but based on what I read, that last clause would supercede anything else in the document regarding the Presidential or Congressional elections. It says clearly that they are to keep everything.

I wonder what number is needed to actually make this happen.

I wonder why they don't just legislate to replace the electors.

That's what I meant. How many of these folks have to agree their process was ****ed and they need to do it themselves.

FWIW, there is some conspiracy fodder there. Harrison Deal was not only a Loeffler staffer he was also boyfriend to Gov. Kemp's daughter. With this accident occuring the morning after Kemp budged on signature verification one could imagine this as a message sent.

If it can be proven this indeed happened, it calls into question the vote totals from any state where there were dominion voting machines. Very big news.

No way these machines don't get wiped or leave a trail.
They were designed to rig elections.

Agreed the last 12 hrs has been some more prominent news, maybe it's the fact that they have better evidence now to back up the claims? Hopefully more fireworks to come

I think PA to Alito will cause a significant ripple, add in the rest and the charade will come crashing down

I have long thought this but I'm getting worried we are running out of time. Hopefully some more fireworks this weekend that MSM is forced to cover.

Nope. Enough happening now to probably delay the EC on 12/14. Plus the real deadline is mid-January.
