The Politico link from 2016 was apparently wrong. So the difference is closer to just over a half a million more votes in 2020. Which is more believable, I guess. The only upside to doing that is it delays events by a couple months.
I agree that the elections are invested to the individual states and the DOJ has no authority in the audit process.
What I worry about is the DOJ overreach that comes in mas and confiscates everything that has been discovered. By the time a judge rules against them, those documents have conveniently disappeared.
