LOL, classic "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." situation.

I do wish the Spacex guys would just dox whoever the FAA people are in whatever desk (or the managers) that seem incapable of doing this stuff in a reasonable time frame. I know, they may retaliate, but c'mon.

Winds calm, visibility 10mi, clear skies this am. It feels right today.

Looks like pad is already cleared? Still hearing some confusion over FAA approval/TFR.

Please let the FAA shenanigans be over finally for today.

So...the latest notice from the FAA is that the launch is cancelled for today...but the TFR is still active, and the pad is cleared. But that bulletin is confusing as hell...

Sigh.

Didn't they get clearance, then pulled, then cleared all yesterday?

I don't think that's the final say.

I don't think anyone (outside of Elon) really knows. I think it got pulled, but I don't think it was ever re-cleared for yesterday.

Funny how there were never any issues like this before the Biden administration took over.

We have confirmation from BocaChicaGal that the village has been evacuated, so you've gotta think SpaceX is optimistic about something.

Yeah this seems like a repeat of yesterday where SpaceX seems to be proceeding in hopes of getting a last minute clearance from the FAA.

This is a clown show. They aren't launching bottle rockets. SpaceX and the Feds need to iron out their issues and get on the same page. I get that 99% of this is the federal bureaucracy at work but it looks disorganized.

Aaaaaand we're scrubbed. BocaChicaGal just tweeted that they're being allowed back in the village, all testing off for the day.

It's possible SN10 rolls out to the pad today. This is what it looks like right now - partially out of the high bay.

Looks? It's full on pathetic. No other words I could post on this site.

Maybe it's time Steve Dickson (a republican, btw) and others (like Wayne Monteith) need to start hearing (via emailed concerns) about how craptastic the FAA consistently is about commercial space launches.

https://www.faa.gov/about/key_officials/

Not posting more stuff on either as I realize this isn't the right forum for that type of 'stuff', but this crap is just inexcusable and ongoing. Those guys are the ones who could make it different next week.

They're going to piss Musk off, and he's going to take his toys offshore. This is not a fight they want to pick....the man has all but crippled the russian commercial launch sector, he could make life hell for the US one too. He may be a goody stoner, but he's also the wealthiest person in the country atm, and is bullheadead stubborn and determined.

Quick zoom meeting with the feds should clear up all Elon's federal safety permit issues.

In not sure this is all on the FAA. SpaceX itself shares some blame in that we are all watching feeds and live video of a test stand and inferring what's going to happen by watching recondensers and purging valves open and close and from tweets of locals. For all we know SN9 was never supposed to fly yesterday. It could have been a full WDR. Since they don't publish any information about their test schedule it's really not a certainty that the FAA pulled their certificates. They could help themselves with some better PR.
