Some sort of iron ore I guess is a possibility for the cloud. Looked like an industrial place. But that's a whole lot of power, and it wasn't quite brown enough to make sense.
What looks like sparklers burning makes me think it was still some kind of metal or fertilizer plant. Fireworks are just powder/something to burn and then different metals to burn different colors/effects.
White structure is Beirut Port Silos. Interestingly, one of the pics in the area on Google Earth shows a Navy ship docked in that area so maybe ammunition of some sort.

Holy crap!
From that tweet above...looks like fireworks were involved in the first explosion because you can see them going off.....and then they set off whatever the 2nd explosion was. The fact that there was a fireworks warehouse in that area has been reported by several sources (who could all be repeating the same info)
some chemical sniffer will identify whatever cooked off.
That second explosion looked to me like it came from an area a little bit away from the grain elevator, more towards town as opposed towards the end of the docks.TexasRebel said:

Hopefully minimal damage to their ancient and cultural structures.
While I'm rooting for the public explanation being true, there's also lots of weapons from Iran being smuggled to jihadists in Lebanon.
