I just listened to the original video again, more intently.

I believe I hear rifle shots (more gas, longer echo in the cycling, lower pitch) in the first series of shots fired followed by pistol shots (shorter gas cycle, higher pitch) in my opinion.

The long pause and witness accounts saying there was only 3 shots also adds to this likelihood.

Betting this will be memory holed pretty fast.

Really upset that all the by standers that were standing by didn't pull out there dildos and use them on both of these guys ... getting plugged w a bunch of dildos could have kept the incident from occurring ?

Yeah, it's definitely two weapons. Seems as if the first shooter (protestor?) had a huge drop on on the second. How the second got shots off at all amazes me.

According to this account, the victim did not fire the rifle. The witness says he saw the driver shooting the pistol during the first burst of 5 rounds, then the driver accelerated and 3 more shots were heard...?

It will be easy to establish who fired what number. In the audio there are two bursts of fire, and two distinct sound signatures, my opinion the first group being louder.

One possible explanation is the driver unloaded a 5 shot revolver into the deceased, then picked up a second gun and fired 3 more. This would explain the two bursts of fire, the difference in volume, and the witness account below.

"Eyewitness" accounts are awful and rarely accurate. I once investigated a basic auto-pedestrian collision with 5 "eyewitnesses". They all provided 5 separate versions of where the pedestrian was walking from and which direction the vehicle was driving. People have awful memories under normal circumstances and it gets even worse when you add a traumatic event to the mix.

There are tons of surveillance cameras in the area and the scene is still actively being investigated. Won't say anything else at the moment; I haven't seen the press conference and don't know what's been officially released.

My friend said as someone who carries that there was zero reason for him to fire his gun like that. He said he would have never felt threatened in the first place, but even if he did he was extremely careless with how he started firing into the crowd in general.

Regardless, a loss of life is sad.

Bah. Stop blocking traffic and being in riots.

It's pretty easy to determine if the AK (or AR) was fired and by whom.

And from the video it definitely sounds like two different calibers fired. Bigger one first.

If the AK was fired first, it's done. Completely justified for the driver to shoot. He's a complete dumbass for turning into the protesters but should be free to go.

Definitely. It's unclear if he had a rifle, how he held that rifle, and whether he brought it up towards the driver. Hopefully a camera shows that. But supposedly he was pushing his wheelchaired wife when this occured so id assume he wasn't walking with it already in two hands but who knows. APD can't even confirm he was armed! Messy.


It doesn't matter how you are holding it. You are an idiot if you think you have to wait until the gun is pointed at you before you can defend yourself.

If you approach someone in a threatening manner while openly carrying a gun you can legally be shot.

If you do it while walking in a group known for violent acts of terror, you are really screwed.
