I heard a woman call up a radio show to defend wearing a mask alone in her car. Her "logic" had something to do with not wanting to touch a contaminated mask until she got home where she could deal with it properly. So she puts the mask on and does not touch it from that point forward until she gets home. If you have to go to those extremes to avoid the virus you might as well surrender and accept the fact you are going to be exposed to it.

I know a bbq joint that has a sign up saying they are a mask optional establishment. None of their employees are wearing masks. They have American flags on the wall, a display of fire and police department badges, and a "Make America Open Again" hat proudly displayed behind the counter.

Saw a dude walking down the street the other day wearing 2 masks... one of those cloth ones with a medical one over top

Um, the Governor's order doesn't mandate masks. It's purposely misleading so that power hungry County judge and city officials will enforce a mask. The order only requires a mask if you can't social distance, which means it doesn't apply to 99% of places you go.

I bet many liberals wear them in their homes while sleeping.

This has proven to me there are people in the world who literally can not think. All their emotions and actions are reactions based on programming.

I think both Sweden and New York have reached herd immunity, the difference is that Sweden knows it and is going about business without fear whereas New York is still interfering in people's civil rights.

Drove to work yesterday and saw a lady wearing a mask, all alone in her front yard which was part of her farm.

Masks worn by people while driving or jogging are like the scarlet letter of idiocy. It tells me who is a complete moran. Same with those who drive around with Bernie stickers.

I agree it's a joke that the employee has to wear one but I see too many posts on here lambasting employees trying to enforce and/or abide by the rules they have no control over. Dude's probably just trying to not get fired...yah know, not become one of those dirty free loaders who has to take a handout. He'd be a hero per forum 16 if he said "phauck it, I ain't wearing a mask" and then a few weeks later when he gets fired he'd be a leech loser who has to rely on the government to eat.

Don't you think it's pretty scary that we live in a time that you could get fired for not wearing a mask sitting by yourself in a box, and the news story would read, "employee refuses to save lives, justly terminated"

Does she not understand that mask is doing almost nothing to protect her. It is protecting others FROM her, if she is Infected and asymptomatic. People really are ignorant.

Many of those people should be told that they can avoid Covid by jumping off a bridge.

I have yet to see a single person in the neighborhood wearing a mask on a walk, not one this entire time.

Question for someone who might KNOW the correct answer: Is wearing a mask while running or jogging a fair distance such as two miles on a warm morning safe? Context is inhaling what was exhaled. I jog-run two miles most mornings. I can't imagine wearing a mask and will not when ing.

That's all about the employer limiting their own liability, taking CYA precautions. I'd be surprised if there isn't some uptick in employer liability claims and lawsuits for not requiring masks at work, requiring employees return to work, not requiring proper employee screening, etc. I'd rather not be the employer who has someone contract COVID at work and subsequently die. There'll be lawyers and disgruntled workers ready to pounce soon enough.

If washing hands with soap and water or using sanitizer will kill it how come we cant develop a vaccine? Huh?
