I really want to say that this person should have a chance to apologize publicly instead of getting expelled immediately. Even though he did something malicious and deceitful, I don't want to be part of the trend towards ruining lives over mistakes even if that means occasionally being "too nice".

He had a chance to apologize after the news of the hoax went public. Instead he used his first tweet afterwards to dig in and mock fellow Aggies about how nothing will happen to him and he will get his degree no matter what.

Good luck getting an interview with any reputable company when an internet search of your name returns pages of negative news stories from national publications.

Single incident for him or not...... in this environment and with the stakes so high......

If he simply apologizes (which he won't by the way, victim status *****s never do) what is to stop someone the next time and what if the next time an innocent guy walking his dog has his life ruined instead???????

He was willing to let ANY WHITE PERSON take the fall for this. If there was any chance someone on camera or off might have done it he would have let them hang for it (figuratively) and ruined their lives.

There is NO APOLOGY that I will accept.

I've seen this a lot, but when you look up the Honor Council and their scope, it appears to apply only to academic violations. I'm having this discussion elsewhere and this was brought up. So could a student be expelled through the Honor Council for behavior, or is it something different? I know it is nitpicky and doesn't matter - he should be kicked out. But?

When I was in school, behavior was absolutely in play for getting the boot.

Hazing in particular was grounds for a fast track to see ya.

Saw this on the BL Premium board and thought it was a perfect counter-example of how real Aggies act and show leadership! This is what it means to be an Aggie and what should be celebrated. How about a tweet from the AD or a letter from the president of the university praising & giving support for this type of behavior??? Very proud of this young man and it is clear he gets what it means to be an Aggie!

This is outstanding. This is also a fish LB that just got into town the other day. We need more like him on the team.

Just got another campus crime alert, to no one's surprise it was at Park West (stolen motorcycle). What a terrible place to live. I'm surprised they allowed the police to come take the report.
