Since this was not a criminal investigation, I allowed it. My interaction with Martin was recorded on the interview room camera system. Once in the interview room, Martin told me that he was not familiar how "the process" worked and asked if he could speak to an attorney before talking to me further. I explained to Martin that there would be no criminal charges, but told him he could speak to an attorney before talking to me. Martin asked I contact him on 7/1/20 and he will tell me if he is willing to speak to me further.
On 7/1/20 at 1030hrs, I called Martin who told me that he was advised by his attorney not to speak to me further.
On 7/1/20, I contacted the County Attorney`s Office to see if this incident was considered a False Report. This case does not meet the elements since Martin did not report a crime.

So:

1) where's the reward money?

2) where is a public statement/rebuke from Young?

3) where are the res libs to admit this was all a hoax and they were wrong, as predicted?

Edit: as a reminder, "Martin" refers to the guy who owns the vehicle the notes were posted on and posted it all over twitter.

So that is confirmation that the police actually have them in their possession? Because other reports seem to indicate Martin didn't give them to the police.
