Why would Austin not salute? Not sure of the protocol, but other members of the military are saluting. Curious.

Presidents didn't used to salute. Fairly new thing, started with Reagan.

Generally, you don't salute when not in uniform.

The funny thing to me was Kamamlallal taking an extra step to be in front of everyone

I'm not sure if people genuinely believe someone is going to say, "Wow, if some people say I'm a moron for not believing this, it clearly must be true."

It's not much a persuasive argument. It really just sounds like a bunch of miniature dachshunds barking because the first one one barked when it thought it heard something.

SecDef is a civilian. He was probably thinking he didn't want to upstage his boss. As a veteran not in uniform he has the option to render military salute, but not obligated.

I wouldn't read anything extra into that. He was not a good general in my book, but he had a crummy boss at the end of Iraq and didn't rock the boat.

President "where's my ice cream" is out to lunch as per usual. Glad they fixed its mask.

I am unfamiliar with the shoes, but that's not saying much.

I always have rubber added to my dress shoes and I am 45. Just no need for funny business as the only times I have on shoes like that are weddings, funeral, court or some other main event I have no need for slippage.

Those seem pretty distinct. Will be curious to see what the inter webs comes up with.

Also, he is getting very frail and skinny. I would need to see comparison, but was he always such a little fella?
