I believe so. We will know soon enough. My job will probably be lost if so, so I'm not not rooting for this.
So they're going to shut down states where there are less than 10 cases? How about 1 case? Really?

Why do people keep saying this? The president today, along with many other officials said this will be done at the state level.redsquirrelAG said:

Shut down Montana. I'll take the West side and you take the East Side.aginlakeway said:barnyard1996 said:Why do people keep saying this? The president today, along with many other officials said this will be done at the state level.redsquirrelAG said:

And we all know it's been follow the leader with corona...once one state does it, it's all down hill from there.

I'm sorry, is there something I said that is wrong? The hell are you yelling at? Every decision thus far has been follow the leader. Once one gov. Agency or group says shut down, it's been a domino effect.
Go yell at clouds.

I apologize my language was a little strong. I am bit on edge and you spoke in absolutes that hinted of fear mongering. My bad.
Let me try again. I don't agree with what you said. Each state is going to make its own decision based on the rate of infection in each state.

I don't understand how that's possible. The AP Exams are set several years in advance for the most part, and they have certainly all been printed as we speak.
I can see how the English exams, for instance, could have their graders (I was a grader and Table Leader for many years) be more relaxed in their standards--fairly easy to do.
But I'm not sure how that would work on the calculus test or biology test, etc.
What a mess.

I work for a utility and we were also emailed a form on Friday to keep in our vehicle JUST IN CASE there is a lockdown or curfew, basically stating we are providing critical infrastructure to support first responders etc.
There are ~20 states that posted no new cases today.FC12 said:
What makes you believe states will base it off rates of infection when everything that has closed thus far hasn't followed that logic? It's always been prevention decisions.

I highly doubt there will be a national shutdown.
On the other hand, I bet Texas shuts down on Tuesday

Idk if it'll be statewide. Tons on counties out there aren't impacted at all. But who knows.

If it holds today, it's promising that our social distancing is having an impact. Usually the final numbers for the day have been updated by now.
Hopefully we'll see the same trend tomorrow.
Interestingly enough though, the increased testing hasn't shown a huge jump in positives like we've thought. Pretty much still following the trend line.
I'm seeing 68 with 324 total, where yours appears to be below 300.

Absolutely statewide. A month ago we were thinking it won't be bad in the States. A couple weeks ago we were thinking only a few states. Now we're changing it to counties.
Take a look at the global maps. Virtually every island country has a case across the entire world
