FYI, my sister runs Wyoming Hospice. They are training up their nurses to provide home health care to non-hospice patients to elevate strain on hospitals, resources, and help isolate patients. Who are either corona patients or need to stay at home and isolate from corona patients.

We don't know that for a fact. We know that from a reports friend in Italy who had a friend who is an epidemiologist in Milan. Also known as highly unreliable 3rd hand rumor.

Median age of cases in China was 47, severe cases (ie requiring o2 or critical care) was 51. So yeah, we've known that. The new information is 35 under 60. The previous official info from Italy was average age for covi19 fatalities was 81. This would be a dramatic departure.

Paying and paying full scale are two different things.
Apple will take care of their people the best they can but reality is reality. No business model allows for continuous paying thousands of employees without an exchange for labor or moving products out the door.

There *is* an attitude shared by some here, online, and in the news that if you're under 60 or so and you get this you'll ultimately be fine, as long as you have no pre existing conditions. I've seen that mindset touted quite a bit. But based on reports from actual doctors, and tweets like this, we're not only seeing it affect a number of people under 60, but perfectly healthy people under 60 as well, with no pre existing conditions. So I was simply sharing that tweet as a way to say, "Maybe we shouldn't be as cavalier about the age thing." It was like a little nudge or consideration. That's it.

Median age in Italy is 47. Median age of confirmed cases should be above that, because kids are asymptomatic. This shouldn't be surprising. Your numbers reflect that - basically 3/4 of the cases are above median age of the country.

Just went to grocery store in Dallas. In and out in 10 minutes. Bought 4 racks of rib, 2 Boston butts, case of wine and 2 cases of beer.

He's right but that shouldn't surprise anyone. Early reporting is biased toward more severe cases and dying happens faster than recovery. Especially when recovery may mean testing negative for virus. It won't stay there.
