So does anybody think all of these closings, flight bans, and cancellations will help us avoid being Italy in a couple weeks or is that outcome inevitable anyways?

It's sad seeing the Spain and Italy numbers grow each and every day.

Anyone else seeing coronavirus coming up on their TV guide as the actual title for programming? Seen it a couple of times so far with Suddenlink.

And a ton of either "To Be Announced" or listings for sporting events that aren't happening.

Probably because the people who brought it here early on where all from China, and one would expect most of them to be going to areas with a larger Asian population.

So? I think it is well established that older generations are at a much higher risk, does not make it ok or acceptable. Or did I misconstrue your comment?

Exactly so why cancel all college classes then? Majority of kids 16-25 are going to do the same unless their parents try to force them to stay home. Just shows the ridiculousness of canceling certain things for certain cohorts. Have the elderly and at risk people stay home.

But I did it in full public view on the thread and not chicken **** behind your back going to mods. And when I realized my mistake I admitted it.

People need thicker skins when it comes to the ribbing that happens here. I will say that when real conversations devolve into ad hominem attacks, that is rather annoying given context... but that really wasn't the case here. There is a real discussion and argument regarding overreaction to this virus stuff... some can call it being a "drama queen". In the context, it really wasn't offensive. It's just a snarky way to refer to it, but honestly it's a legitimate conversation.

I've gotten sick like that a few times in my life way before this virus existed.

Yeah there's no doubt it's everywhere, but that guys twitter also reads like he has convinced himself he has it and wants the tweet views.

Neither do you. It could be crazy or it could be little to nothing. But, creating panic on the Internet doesn't help anyone. It can actually hurt people. Unit exposure to others, keep some reasonable social distance and wash your hands. That's about all you can do.

I do know there are 155k cases and half of them have recovers, even in the 3rd world.
