I would avoid anything that Gates works on. He's been quoted on a number of occasions (here's one) as wanting to lower the earth's population to protect mother Gaia.

One of his vaccines sterilized large amounts of people in Africa.

Gate's father was a eugenicist and was the head of planned parenthood. There's a reason Gates is pushing his plans so heavily in Africa.

If I'm not mistaken, Gates is an owner of Moderna, who happens to be developing a Vaccine for the Kung Flu (which another one of his organizations owns the patent on). How convenient. I won't be signing up to receive one of these when they hit the market.

Not sure how you can look at that chart and draw conclusions from SK and completely ignore what's happening in Italy.

I am assuming it means not showing symptoms and no longer able to infect others (negative test).

Chinese research study stated that the median time to recovery is 32 days.

The elderly have to be concerned about catching this crud no matter which way you slice it... but the healthy folks don't really need to be consumed at the thought of dying. The main thing everyone still needs to be concerned about is the extent of lung damage that can come from catching this thing -- coupled with the idea of this becoming seasonal. If the fear of permanent lung damage gets debunked, I'll have a sigh of relief... and still maintain my alert status simply because of our family's particular situation. But good news is good news... I'll take it. But there are still some concerning things about this thing that don't get explained away by showing a much lower CFR than previously thought.

Not sure how this is Q related as Bill speaks for himself and this info has been known for a very long time. However, I'm not attempting to derail so I'll discontinue.

I just went to grocery store.

Plenty of everyone on hand. No panic. Even shook a few friends' hands. And I kissed the pharmacist working there.

Are chances now high I'll get the virus?

What's with all this long term lung damage? How could it possibly be known at this point if there is even such a thing?

My physician wife cancelled our travel plans this week due to the risk that either she will be quarantined due to having previously seen a patient that will test positive this week (nothing specific, just looking at the odds with widespread testing beginning Monday and she has seen many patients with generic respiratory illness that were negative for flu) or that her co-workers will be quarantined and she'll be needed to backfill.

She has been studying and consulting with her physician colleagues and this is their general consensus to stop leisure traveling at this time. They are expecting numbers to skyrocket this week due to widespread testing available starting Monday.

Plus we were going to a concert in Chicago and she doesn't want to be in news articles like that NY lawyer saying local physician spreads CV to Chicago while attending a concert or local physician brings CV to DFW after attending a concert in Chicago.

MD provides a balanced (in my opinion) outlook, and a pretty scathing review of the media in regards to CoVID-19

what are your thoughts regarding the latest findings showing it's not as contagious as once thought?

wouldn't that be positive and show that discipline and aggressive testing can slow it down considerably?

we might not be doing that, flirting with disaster, but China certainly is

I actually think China has got this under control. they might have another outbreak, but they know what to do before it gets to Wuhan/Northern Italy

the problem is we refuse to learn the lesson

Keep repeating that same behavior and yes, chances are high you'll get it. And pass it on to someone else.

But way to be proud of your poor hygiene during a pandemic.

It's really not. Any data set claiming that the fatality rate is over 1% is outdated as well as the 20-25% severe cases.

I think at this point the virus is going to do what it's going to do and we just have to wait it out. We are past the point of quarantines.

It's already shown up in Eagle and Summit county's in Colorado with people that flew in on a plane and hit Keystone and Vail. The lady that has it didn't hit the resorts but came into contact with a ton of people and most people here are either tourists or have strong ties with the resorts.

Being Spring Break for a lot of schools I think it spreads like crazy this week although we won't know about that initially. It's a normal school week for kids locally in the mountains and I bet it gets into the schools this week. I just hope the trend of it not bothering kids keeps up.

I would expect the same to happen in most destination cities this week as well.

I think hygiene, distancing, and massive testing and contract tracing and targeted quarantines can work

It's killed what, 7? 8. And more than 50 workers are infected.

In the right population and setting this looks really bad. Imaging it getting into every nursing home in the US. Imagine it in all the unlicensed assisted living homes in the US.

I am a physician and traveling by plane this week for a spring break vacation. Taking my kids to a theme park as well. Might not even pack our hazmat suits.

Mean time to death and that standard deviation would be a more reasonable benchmark. If the person has made it 2 sigma days beyond that mark, I'd consider them recovered.

Except that anti-virals have been used and from the reports on their usage, have been effective.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill
