There's enough alcohol consumed during rodeo that CV may not have a chance.

Nah he's protected thanks to all the vitamin THC in his system.

I'm wondering if anyone has done a study on the minimum BAC needed to make sure Coronavirus can't get a foothold...

Drinking saved the cook on the Titanic so why not here?

Of all the communicable diseases in Thailand, COVID-19 is the least of their concerns

Man in his 70s so I'd bet Italy.

There will be a press conference in an hour about it.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

No kids have died (at least under 10). The death rate for anyone under 50 is less than 1%. Someone posted a chart on this thread earlier, but it spikes with the 60 and up crowd.

There are outlier cases, but the main demographic is like 65+.

Still, while slow and dangerous behind the wheel, they can still serve a purpose.

Not in the US and I think in the countries outside China, the death rate for people under 50 is very low, especially when people with preexisting conditions are counted separately.

And kids seem to be either immune or don't get sick for the most part, although older teenagers can get it.

You serious Clark? Do you really not think that if this thing got way out of hand water may become an issue?

I think we'll run out of most everything else long before that, yes. And if it gets to that point, twelve bottles of water will not go far.
Why do you think we run out of water?

I don't think we will.

WE in all likelihood will not,. YOU might. Generally speaking.

You might be surprised at how many repairs are required daily in a large metropolitan area. Smaller cities and towns have to worry less, but individual residences or parts of neighborhoods may find themselves without water for a time if enough workers are unable to work.
If I need to, I'll go turn on a windmill.

I told a client today that kids won't get sick from this, they survived pre-school and day cares! They're hardened!!

No... Even in Wuhan they still had water and power
In China the government can force you to work, and pretty much shoot you if you don't.
So it might not be the best example.
Lets see how Italy and SKorea deal with this over time

New cases are up 20 to 50% today in virtually every country, including India. So much for the theory, or possibly really hope, that warm humid weather would dampen it down.

I was unaware that it is warm in much of the world in early March.

Considering hundreds of thousands were going to be dead and this thing was doubling every four days, 20% ain't bad. All hail global warming
Indian cases went up because of an Italian tour group of 15.
Also total number of detected cases in India is less than 30

Activate the National Guard if it ever got to a point where critical services were at risk. Like I said, even in Wuhan, they had power and water

I knew an old man (he was early 60s,i was early 30s at the time) that used to go on 6 week vacations to Thailand. His friends said "Roy has gone railroading - he's laying Thai's".

His wife divorced him after some exotic infections, of you can imagine that.

Its Sugar Land, if hes 70 years old and traveling abroad, chances are high he is Pakistani, Indian, or east Asian of some sort. Maybe part of this rumored dubai linked tour group. All speculation on my part though.

Got behind on this thread. Two things that no one will care about:

1. Most conferences in my business have been cancelled.

2. My #1 pet peeve of bathroom doors that open inward instead of outward has hit another level with this. Should be outlawed. I should never have to touch a door handle to get out of a bathroom. All you Aggie builders that have done this are dead to me.
