I am personally going all in on scones. Got some cornmeal for cornbread later if things get tough. Eating pinto beans and cornbread is not merely surviving, it is gourmet cuisine for the knowledgeable. I may also stock up on day old potato rolls on sale at the store: I soak them in a custard mixture and then bake it all into the best bread pudding ever.

You can easily make no-knead bread if you want. It is delicious but high in calories. I am saving my flour for making British scones. If I am going to be home at 3pm I might as well have a pot of decent tea with scones with whipped cream and jam.

Maybe I'm off on that but you've recommended this book multiple times now on the boards.

Only 433 new cases and 29 deaths in China, vast majority in Wuhan. China finally has this under control.

Edit: I can no longer recommend this book in lieu of all the critical reviews contradicting some of the major hypotheses by the author.

About a year ago I watched a video on youtube that did a good job of destroying about half of that book with a pretty lengthy list of citations from mainstream scientists, most of which who did their work post publishing, but directly disproved many of the authors points and arguments.

I will try to find it again.

That book used to touted by Sapper thats all you need to know how full of bs that book is.

Pretty sure we had already known this was a possibility this morning. Not sure we knew about the probable community spread angle though. Also makes more sense with try two state of emergency claims yesterday and today. Surely it was reported yesterday up the chain.

Will south Korea eclipse China in daily new cases by Friday? I bet so. Reported numbers that is.

And they also said it is possible he was infected by a traveler. They have to do more checking to trace back his contacts.

Also, he's been in the hospital for a week so that backs up the time he could have been infected to make it somewhat more possible it was from a traveler rather than someone else who is local.

Made a quick run to the store tonight because I found I was completely out of a couple of things.

Went to get a box of band aids and some guy had literally filled his cart with every single box of Mucinex they had on the shelves. He also had multiple brands of vitamin C in his cart as well. I suspect he was going after the zinc next. Mucinex isn't cheap so that is going to be a hefty bill.

Other than that guy and a few people I saw at Wal-Mart yesterday who had their carts full of cans, no one seems to be panic buying, yet. However, I remember B/CS when hurricane Rita was coming (ended up doing nothing but blowing leaves around) and there was absolutely nothing left on the shelves. HEB had lines literally 50 people long.
