With the WHO and CDC onsite, i would expect the numbers to be more accurate.

This is the best news so far on this Coronavirus, it was also posted last week that Drs think aids antivirals could possibly kill it. Hope this is true, let's snuff this virus out ASAP so I can go to Mexico soon and get a real Corona virus!
you should make a Mexican word of the day meme for that and post it here. I drank 30 beers last night. ah chit, I think I got the corona virus.

Why? They're only going to get to see what ChiComm wants them to see.

We won't get real numbers until about 3-4 weeks from now when more cases in the western world have run their course. Even then, you have stuff like the CDC saying they won't even say what states have individuals under observation, they continue to punt to each state's health departments.

Looks like growth rate in number of cases outside of China may be slowing down. However, it's dangerous to rely on changes from only 1 or 2 days of data.

The other encouraging news is that there has been little person-to-person transfer outside of China, and none in the US except for 2 spouses, I believe. In other words, CV does not yet appear to be "out in the wild" here in the U.S. (knocking on wood).

Finally, we should all pray for warming and humidity. Viruses don't like them and naturally die down as the weather warms and grows more humid.

Got to be patient with the data, the testing may not be reliable or even available in third world countries. Nor is education/public health knowledge at a heighten state as of yet throughout the globe.

Is a homeless guy or a single mother with limited resources and a sick kid going to walk into a doctors office for what appears to be a cold at first?

No reported case does not mean that the virus hasn't spread.

Hope for the best but be ready for the worst.

For anyone worrying about identifying symptoms of Coronavirus infection:

Quote:

Common coronavirus symptoms can include:
Fever
Dry cough
Shortness of breath
Aching muscles
Fatigue
Less typical coronavirus symptoms:
Phlegm buildup
Headache
Hemoptysis
Diarrhea
Symptoms atypical for coronavirus:
Runny nose
Sore throat
A runny nose and a sore throat are typical signs of upper respiratory infection. Therefore, those who have bouts of sneezing or get the sniffles likely have the flu or a common cold.
As the new Coronavirus generally affects the lower respiratory tract, most of those infected exhibit a dry cough, shortness of breath or pneumonia, but not a sore throat.

Forget third world. The CDC said on Friday that their testing isn't 100% reliable or accurate here.

That's pretty funny honestly. China acting like we created a hysteria when they're busy locking entire city's up and barricading their people in their homes.

The Chinese quarantined over 50 million people in cities. The communists are up in arms because rational people go oh ***** And cease travel so they don't spread the virus outside of China.

I have 3 kids at home this weekend that had all of these symptoms....they come and go in waves

Only difference is 2 out of 3 of them woke up in the middle of the night to puke so we automatically assumed it is the flu. Kept them home from school for 4 days and everyone got better this weekend....we hope.

I work on campus with a lot of international students. One is from Wuhan and hasn't been home in a year.
If I did bring it home, it got to my 2 year old first but the rib and I have been fine.

What's even weirder about China's whining about our travel ban is we weren't even the first to do it.

As I recall, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, and one or two others had already banned all travel to China before we did the same.

Unless they're trying to call out our travel ban to Wuhan, which would be f'in stupid as China had already banned all travel in and out of there domestically.

The North is hardly their buddy. Alliance of convenience. If the south is a lapdog of the US, the north is a rabid one.

The Pakistan relationship is the one you should be looking at. Not that it's a friendship, it's just a more convenient alliance.

Whew!

Then luckily the coughs started at the end of their sickness...that's all they really have left is some coughing in the morning more than anything. Started with puking, head aches, and body aches.

My daughter had pneumonia last year and couldn't take a breath without a coughing so we were really watching them to see if these coughs got worse. Thankfully they did not.

Interesting symptom from my son was a couple of nose bleeds and a few hemorrhaged blood vessels under the eyes. Those were new and have never occurred in any of my children.

Drones being used to spray disinfectant. Same ones I will be using for Precision Spraying in Ag.

XAG Establishes Five Million Yuan Funds for Drone Disinfection Operation to Fight Coronavirus Outbreak

2 February 2019, GUANGZHOU It is of greatest concern that the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has spread through more than 20 countries and become a global health emergency. To address the urgent need for strengthening disease prevention measures, XAG announced on Friday that it would set up a 5-million-yuan special fund on coronavirus response, calling for voluntary drone disinfection operations in China, which is hardest hit by the epidemics.

XAG is actively pitching in to combat the contagious coronavirus with innovative technologies, as well as assisting local governments on public health safety. The 5-million-yuan fund is committed to providing XAG's agricultural drone users with technical support to properly carry out aerial disinfectant sprays that help curb the spread of virus, especially in rural villages with weaker health system and poorer sanitation condition. Operations will target at the densely populated outdoor public places and those communities having confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus. Another focus of applications is intensive cleaning and disinfection of medical and epidemic prevention vehicles moving between affected and unaffected areas.

During the nationwide drone disinfection operation, XAG will cover all the spare parts and maintenance expenses for those who voluntarily engage. Also, strict qualification approval and standard operation procedure (SOP) are implemented to ensure safety and legitimacy. Disinfecting actions would be taken under the permission of Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and relevant government authorities.

According to the Novel Coronavirus Treatment Proposal (Fourth Edition) published by National Health Commission of China, coronavirus is mainly travelled via respiratory droplets, but it can also spread by touching contaminated surfaces. Dr. Mara Van Kerkhove, a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO)'s emergency committee, also confirmed the possibility of coronavirus spreading via fomites.

Agricultural drone, as an autonomous precision spraying tool, can be a highly effective alternative to accurately release disinfectants over public places. Compared with traditional disinfection approaches conducted by hands or lorry, drones can be directed to spray where it is needed and cover a wider area, helping to improve public hygiene and reducing the risk of virus transmission through surface contact. In China's Shandong province, XAG's drone fleets were deployed by a crop protection team on 28 January to disinfect a local community of over 300,000 square metres in less than 4 hours.

But that said, yeah China is royally f/ckd - hopefully the silver lining is they take a back seat in the world scale and more manufacturers leave

Not sure if you're being sarcastic but nothing's making it here from China next day.

Everything coming from Amazon next day has been here in the U.S. for at least a week, likely longer.
