I'll preface this by saying I think it's a good idea to keep aware of the situation and be prepared for the worst. That said, if you are quoting that site as gospel, I'm not sure you can be taken seriously. They quote lancet in this article but another of their trending articles listed below calls lancet outright unscientific. That site is the epitome of click bait.

I read the lancet article. That is not click bait.

While the numbers are not mature, 83/15 is way into pandemic territory, if they hold up.

Mike Adams is WAY OUT on the fringe as a source. Take his reporting w a massive dose of salt. Divide those quoted by 3 or 4 and you'll likely get an accurate account.

Who knows whether this will become a big problem here. The lack of news is encouraging so far.

Given that it's a lack of news form a country that's not known for sharing honest information and closed over 40 million people worth of cities I'm still skeptical. That's like "California's closed, moose out front should've told you."

I flew from Krabi, Thailand to Yangon, Myanmar last night and there was definitely more health related security than in my previous trips.

In Yangon I had to walk through thermal scanners and fill out a form stating that I had not been in China within the previous 14 days and that I had no symptoms of the flu.

Krabi Airport was a CF as there were two flights headed to Bangkok filled with Chinese returning from New Year at the same time as my flight; dust masks and latex gloves everywhere.

In my opinion, there is no other time where you will appreciate western culture more than when you are in a Southeast Asian airport filled with Chinese.

Well I personally think the numbers being released from China are bull***** Do you quarantine 45+ million people for a 100 dead?

So until there is legitimate knowledge about the scope of the virus from outside China I will be worried.

The figures being released by China show that more people have died than have been cured, so it is really difficult to know the true extent of the outbreak, except that it is growing exponentially.

Imagine being sick with pneumonia for a couple of weeks, being kept alive in ICU, and the doctors can give you almost nothing to fight the disease.

Probably when it's too late... Still too early to tell if it's just going to be a huge killer or just an economic issue but I for one don't trust the government to make good decisions. IMHO 1/2 of tgem are way too focused on impeaching Trump to do anything else.
