The games are in Japan and they haven't made an official announcement. I think they want to see what happens with Japan over the next couple of months as the games are in July.

I know. The average citizen probably doesn't know that. The point of my post was this:

"It's annoying we need to declare a "state of emergency" in order to get "extra prepared". Can we not figure out a way to do this without using phraseology that will incite panic?"

I think state of emergency is the worst phraseology we could use when we want to prevent a run on grocery supplies.

You can even buy shelf-stable whipping cream to put in your stash. I have not tried it, but saw it at Trader Joe's once.

I am on my way home and cannot watch. But do you think you're bias toward the severity of the issue and lack of trust of what the CDC has been putting out there / doing is influencing how you're reading Trump?

Our perception of event a lot of times determines how we receive news. Look no further than this thread for how the same news is received in two different manners.

Could be, I try to avoid watching Trump talk as much as possible. That's why I asked a question. Is it just me?

Pence sounds very reassured and well rehearsed compared to Trump.

Pence is now Mr. Coronavirus.

I wonder if things get bad, will he stop spray tanning?
How can you be that wealthy and still look like you paid for a spray tan with a groupon?

This is an awkward speech. I think mostly because he seems so like.. demure.. it is almost unsettling. Like.. since he is speaking so quietly.. does that mean it's actually worse than what it is? (I know that isn't the case.. it is still just wierd)
