At the end of the day, Democrats always boast about their "transparency" while trying to keep everything out of the hands of the public.

"We have differing views about the other qualifications of Judge Kavanaugh," they wrote. "But we are united, as professors of law and scholars of judicial institutions, in believing that Judge Kavanaugh did not display the impartiality and judicial temperament requisite to sit on the highest court of our land. "
And still, Mitch McConnell is going to ram this through. Another nail in the coffin of Democracy.

I'm not a lawyer, but I do have some idea of what you can and cannot say at a job interview, which is what Kavanaugh's testimony was. A snot-slinging temper tantrum would get you escorted to the front door by security.

The Republicans don't care. Pedophiles like Roy Moore, sexual assaulters like Donald Trump, rapists like Kavanaugh, this is the standard for Republicans now.

Reminds me of the Dan Rather story. The facts are completely made up, but the story is true.
Grassley shouldn't have said "presumption" of innocence" b/c BK doesn't need it. He could just as easily have said, starting with balanced scales, there is no corroborated evidence of any significant misconduct, and NO evidence of adult misconduct, to counterbalance the substantial evidence showing BK's good character and fitness for high office.TurkeyBaconLeg said:

What is glorious is that had dems just let Gorsuch get confirmed without requiring McConnell to change the senaterulestradition, you very well may have a completely different situation regarding Kavanaugh.
I would add that 97% of climate scientists think this nomination should be withdrawn.Quote:

Asia Argento is formulating her indignant response tweet as we speak. She will release it once she gets out of bed with her 14 year old co-star.DTP02 said:rwpag71 said:I would add that 97% of climate scientists think this nomination should be withdrawn.Quote:

Also 95% of Hollywood. Anyone know if the Open Society Foundation or MoveOn.org has weighed in yet? I've been waiting on their objective input.

Well actually I did not ask permission - we've discussed it before (like in 2016) and she clearly does not like advertising political beliefs. I've always agreed before but felt compelled this time.javajaws said:Zombie Jon Snow said:
