I get it, I just think it would be wiser to remove as much ammunition from the Democrats as possible. The MSM and D-politicians can easily run headlines, click-bait, and soundbites for the uninformed regarding what you two wrote and say how the investigation is a sham because the FBI didn't even interview the victim or the accused.

Play it clean and smart.

I think you've identified an interesting long-play strategy here: if the Senate goes with what it's getting today, you get the media publicly trashing the FBI, just like Trump wanted them to do.

It does not necessarily need to be notarized to be a sworn statement. See 28 USC s1746.
