I don't agree. The last thing they (the Dems in general, and Ford in particular) want is a full investigation. What they were hoping for is for 1) Enough R's to go wobbly to tank Kavanaugh or, 2) Kavanaugh to throw up his hands and remove himself, or 3) Delay until after the midterms.

None of which will happen, apparently, and the Dems are left holding a pair of deuces having had their bluff called.

Yeah, I've been racking my brains to come up with anything they could use to craft articles of impeachment against him. This accusation is not enough.
The problem is they are so rabid, it won't matter. They're already claiming he perjured himself during the hearing so that would likely be their main focus.

I'll have to check the transcripts, but at one point he may have stated while under oath that he is not Literally Hitler.

What I mean is they want the appearance of wanting a full investigation.

They want to ask for it and yell that it did not happen.

Then use that and the threat of impeachment to hope to flip some seats in Nov.

Ford's lawyers made a last minute compromise in their demand that Kavanaugh testify first and only then does she testify.

They are demanding now that Kavanaugh give only 3/4 of his defense before she testifies.

When will Repubs realize that it doesn't matter what you do, NEVER deal with evil liberals?

I honestly think this has to do with term limits and the damn career politicians that all just live in their own bubbles. Things were much better when John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were calling each other SOBs and drunks because they truly disliked each other and fought for policy.

They use the "she agreed to testify and gop didn't want to listen" as their campaign rallying cry.
