Last story I saw was that this was a repressed memory that came in couple's therapy. Meaning something was going on in their marriage that triggered such a memory to surface. At least that's how unearthing of repressed memories are supposed to work. There's some trigger for them. It could be fear and that would suggest there were abuse problems in the marriage.

She has effectively waived doctor/patient confidentiality by giving copies of a portion of their therapist's notes to WaPo. And she is still talking to WaPo reporters supposedly.

Then that is even more curious, vis a vis a couple's therapy session.

Wednesday is the same day the vote is scheduled to occur.

So even if she testified on Monday, the vote is still Wednesday.

They can do the testimony in the morning and vote in the afternoon.

And I agree. Wednesday is the line. The Republicans have shown good faith and have compromised. Now she can refuse to testify and we can get on with the vote.

I get where you're coming from Michael. I really do. But, here's the thing. Nothing about this particular accusation is credible. It doesn't deserve to be treated as credible. In fact, pretending this is credible does further damage to women who hope to be believed when they wait to accuse their abuser as it is human nature to lump things together...Oh, there's another Dr. Ford accusation.

I expect she won't. The Dems most likely never wanted her to testify. While Judge Kavanaugh is a known entity who does quite well in this environment Dr. Ford is a total unknown. She could get up to testify and completely crumble and cause serious damage to the Dems. They don't need this before the midterms.

I agree. I think when the R's didn't fold or Kavanaugh didn't pull himself out they did not have a Plan B.

Anyone nominated by Trump will need to be prepared for at least what has happened this round...and perhaps even worse.

Dershowitz appeared on a talking head show this morning drilling this very point.

That little gem was the proof that they know she is lying and doesn't want to testify. her lawyers know damn good and well the committee would never go for that stipulation. The goal has always been to plant the seed of doubt on Kavanaugh to push fenceriders like Collins to vote "No". They have to make the pretense of wanting to come forward but pull out every delay and stall tactic in the book to avoid it. The fact that they are actively trying to avoid her testifying is ample evidence that this was a political stunt.

Because that's what he does and staff allows it. They let a select few get away with murder and then punish the **** out of others who question the pets. That's why I left for three months and probably will bail again soon.

What would really be laughable and fitting for the Dems is if she did testify and pulled a "Frankie Five Angels" move and basically told the committee that she was forced to trash Kavanaugh by political operatives.
