I think the allegations have enough credibility that things should slow down.

I do find itntintersting that this is a guy the right is willing to fall on their sword for. There's plenty of qualified conservative judges out there is this guy is passed up.

If Kavanaaigh is not confirmed, then Trump will appoint someone else. The Dems won't win the Senate regardless. Is that what they're counting on? That they'll win the Senate? So they can do what? Never allow a Trump appointee to be nominated?

The Dems have about as much chance of winning the senate as Trump had of winning the presidency in 2016. The odds of republicans taking the executive were looking very very slim back when Republicans bravely decided to block Garlands nomination in early 2016.

The Dems just have to create chaos on this one, flip a seat or two and they at the minimum force trump to nominate a left leaning judge. At worse block nominations for two years

It doesn't matter if the story is true. This last summer a local woman from our area came out and said she was raped a t a party in college 10 years ago. The police at the time decided not to press charges due to lack of evidence, but this woman wanted to cash in on the #MeToo movement.

The woman's whole story had so many holes that you honestly could not believe a word she said. Yet my wife, 100% Red republican, bought her story and even expressed concern that I would doubt the accuser's story. Even when confronted with the stories inconconsistencies, my wife said we should always believe the accuser no matter what and make the accused prove innocence in sexual assault cases. My wife is not alone, the majority of women, and yes even conservative women, have this view. The Dems know this and are exploiting it wherever they can.

Even if he gets in it is mission accomplished. White guys are trash. Even the most respected are predators against women. Particularly conservative white men.
