Pay attention to paragraph 7 of the husband's affidavit. It is written and positioned so people will infer that she named Kavanaugh in 2012, but doesn't actually say she named Kavanaugh in 2012. Lawyer games like these kill credibility as far as I'm concerned.

Have the tinfoil hat nut jobs exploded on the interweb yet explaining their theories as to why the calendars are obvious fakes? What we are witnessing is the birth of a conspiracy field that will still be discussed 10 years from now. They will be highly entertaining.

And you have to believe that the PR folks at Northwestern Mutual are cringing at the thought of the SJW types going full on crazy and attacking them After all they gave a calendar to a pervert.

I think they released the calendar as bait. I am not sure how big of fish they might be trying to catch......

Wait a minute. Did she name Kavanaugh in 2012? That isn't what was initially reported. I thought she only named Kavanaugh after he was nominated.
Yep. She originally claimed to have only told her shrink and husband, and didn't even mention a name to her shrink.
Exactly, The "who did I tell" bull**** corroboration story has changed.

Yeah, I don't like putting the calendar out there to be picked apart. Those that don't want to believe it aren't going to believe it anyway, and you just give them details to go pick apart and shape to their lie.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6210123/Kavanaughs-accuser-offers-four-people-accusation-documents.html
Quote:

Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford has presented sworn statements from four individuals to back her claims of an assault decades ago including one from her husband Russel Ford.

Ford signed an affidavit stating that his wife informed him of the assault claim during a 2012 couple's therapy session. His statement comes a day before Ford is to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee and a day after Kavanaugh appeared side by side with his wife, Ashley, to deny charges against him.

'I remember her saying that her attacker's name was Brett Kavanaugh, that he was a successful lawyer who had grown up in Christine's home town, and that he was well-known in the Washington D.C. community," Russell Ford said in his statement.

Ford said his wife was 'afraid' Trump would nominate Kavanaugh, who sits on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, to the high court, and was 'very conflicted' about bringing her story forward.

Quote:

The declarations, first reported by USA Today, also include signed documents from three friends that her lawyers sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"However, in the end she believed her civic duty required her to speak out," Russell Ford said. "In our 16 years of marriage I have always known Christine to be truthful person of great integrity. I am proud of her for her bravery and courage,' he husband said.
Quote:

Republican President Donald Trump, who has also been accused of sexual misconduct, escalated his rhetoric against both of Kavanaugh's accusers on Tuesday and called the allegations 'a con game being played by the Democrats.'

Trump also spoke out directly against the two accusers, suggesting their claims were invented.

The White House earlier this week said it would welcome testimony from the second accuser, Ramirez. Asked about her possible testimony, Trump on Tuesday said she 'had nothing.'

Ramirez's lawyer, John Clune, said in television interviews on NBC and CBS on Wednesday that she has not been invited to speak to senators.

The Republican-controlled committee, led by 11 men, on Tuesday said it had hired a female lawyer to question Ford. The decision prompted an outcry from Democrats, whose 10 panel members include four women, given that senators typically do the questioning themselves.

Senate Republicans chose Rachel Mitchell, a sex crimes prosecutor from Arizona, to conduct the questioning.

Normally yes

But recall that, she says she can't remember the exact date

If all of a sudden she does recall it and it coincidentally corresponds to one of the very few totally blank days on that calendar then they have her.

Or this is a selective release and his parents had another "family" calendar. If that's the case, she can pick a blank date and then have the rug yanked out from under her by another calendar with a schedule conflict.

At least that's what I'd do.

I would have done one of two things:

1. Eliminate some events to give her holes that she can try to point to that you will have definitive proof to spring on her when she pick those dates
2. For the few parties on there, I would have sworn statements from the hosts and several people at the party that Ford was not there.

I doubt she tries to pin down a date though.

Date Night at the Ford House. He opens a nice Napa Chardonnay and catches up on the Atlantic and Huff Post. She picks up a bottle of Cuervo and some cranberry juice and meets Bob and Larry from Auto Zone at the La Quinta.

Which is why she won't

Releasing the calendar was a way of saying "we dare you to name a date" which she won't AND it lets them ask "and Kav says he was at a party on the dates of A,B and C. Do any of these dates ring a bell? To which she'll HAVE to say no or risk exposing her lie
Old Tom Morris

By creative, I don't even mean that it will get into naming dates. I'm thinking bigger picture; details from his life and schedule from that summer can be valuable to craft a lie to somehow make yourself appear more credible. You go find memories that you can "prove" where you did cross paths at times that summer (or some other bogus commonality), and then your argument is that you don't necessarily remember the day, but that it was just a small gathering and not something that someone would have put on a calendar.

I'll admit to being the paranoid "don't talk to the cops" kind of guy, where innocent information can get twisted against you.

I'd say those affidavits were totally believable. right down to the one where Adela Gilda-Mazzon (beware of women with hyphenated last names) vividly recalls exactly where she had lunch five and a half years ago, and still has the receipt.

I don't have a problem with that, given that Kavanaugh has calendars from 36 years ago.

What this illustrates to me is that a person that was merely told about an incident can remember exactly where and when she heard the story, but the person that actually experienced the sexual assault in question can't remember where it happened, when it happened or how many boys were there when it happened.

And the thing is, I am not even that picky. I am not bothered that she can't name the exact day and specific house it happened in. I was almost killed by an illegal 25 years ago. I can tell you the year, the town, I'm 90% certain of the month, who was with me, but I couldn't tell you the date or exact location.

For me this is all about timing, changing stories, no corroboration, Kav's rebuttals, and her background.
