Travesty isn't a strong enough word for what is happening. Mayella Ewell has zero proof and can't remember anything, the all white jury are completely prejudiced, and Tom Robinson has an exemplary reputation and record. This is a dispiriting, despicable charade.

#metoo has become the new racism, and it's being fully embraced and championed by the left. God help us all.

If I get drunk at the company Christmas party and feel up the bosses wife and call him an ass hole I didn't "drink to excess" as long as I didn't black out?

In summary...

I asked Lot Y for a quote of Kav saying he never drank in excess. I got two links, no quotes.

I asked if he thought "drinking in excess" was the same thing as drinking to the point you black out. He has refused to answer twice.

I also think the original letter was crafted. She went to the Washington Post who sent her on to the Democrat insiders. They worked up the letter and decided who it should go to.

Kavanaugh p, if charges were filed in 1982, would be facing a misdemeanor. And since law at the time for such wphad a statute of limitations of 1 year, they have 0 case. The Dems are presenting no evidence for a misdemeanor that occurred 36 years ago as their red line against confirmation.

Not sure the Democrats have ever wanted (or currently want) a criminal prosecution, so the statute of limitations is kind of a moot point IMO. This was a political move, no doubt.
