Why did Sussman bring up the phones? Does he believe there is exculpatory information on them (i.e., You're God damned right Baker ordered the Code Red) and he refuses to be the fall guy? If that's the case, shouldn't Sussman's phone have evidence of that fact as the recipient of any messages, thus rendering Baker's phones irrelevant?

Or, does Sussman just want to watch the world burn?

And is there any doubt whatsoever that those phones haven't already been completely erased just like all the other phones the IG catalogued in his earlier report?

They cost the country hundreds of millions of dollars (and obliquely trillions of dollars), ruined people's lives because they hated "orange man".

I pray that your confidence is Durham's character and integrity is well founded. If I had the faith of a mustard seed in the DoJ I would like to believe that there is one honest man. If there is, he certainly never had an office at main justice of the seventh floor of FBI headquarters.

Explains it a little better. Thread.

So the Georgia Tech researches had TDS
Some quotes from the article
  • While Dagon may have been an expert in the data crunching, emails recently obtained by The Federalist from Georgia Tech reveal Dagon was something morehe was an anti-Trump, Russia-collusion conspiracy theorist.
  • The 27-page speaking indictment then detailed the origins of the Alfa Bank story. In July 2016, a computer researcher, using the moniker "Tea Leaves" and referred to in the Sussmann indictment as "Originator-1," "had assembled purported DNS data reflecting apparent DNS lookups between Russian Bank-1 and an email domain, 'mail1.trump-email.com." "Tea Leaves," a business associate of Tech-Executive 1, shared her information with Tech-Executive 1 and others, with Tech-Executive 1 alerting Sussmann to the data.
Wasn't there a poster here that was 2 teas? (just a joke-don't crucify me)
  • Emails obtained via an open records request to Georgia Tech, however, provide a picture of the politics behind the players who formulated and fed the Alfa Bank theory to Sussman, who in turn peddled it to the FBI. Some of the emails showed Joffe, Antonakakis, Dagon, and Lorenzen, or some combination of the four, merely exchanging media links of anti-Trump articles related to Trump or his team and supposed Russia connections.
  • But after Trump's victory and later inauguration, the vitriol and tinfoil hattery lived loudly within emails Dagon sent.

Thanks for the information, was an entertaining read.

I can't believe this thread is still going and that there are valid reasons for it still being going on.

Can you imagine if this board had existed when JFK was assassinated? And during the Warren Report?

That thread would still be ongoing for 50 years plus.

Governments have lots of secrets that they want to keep forever.

I can't believe it hasn't unraveled yet. The massively organized politically motivated hit job is one of the worst kept secrets. Everyone has seen enough to know it happened even if they pretend like it didn't happen.

How this hasn't started to unravel yet is insane. Can you imagine the information these people have on each other to keep everyone quiet? It has to be at mutual-destruction levels.

I am still holding out hope that Durham is honest thorough and is allowed to seek the truth.

So far we have one minion pleading guilty get probation, 400 hours community service, no jail time and only loses his job. I believe what he did was a felony and should deserve jail time, loss of his license and prohibition from any government occupation. (an offense that carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years and a fine of up to $250,000)

I am with you there, but I have have this nagging feeling when he starts getting closer to the truth, he will be fully shutdown. Probably the only reason it hasn't happened so far is they don't know what he knows.

I agree with your post completely but bolded the middle part because, while it is true, for those at the top of DOJ (and State), they are protecting their graft and corruption. Trump was simply a threat to this and they had to take him out. Remember how on this thread we had hope that Horowitz was honest? Turns out the OIG was all about protecting the criminals in the DOJ.

Any thoughts on why Garland is allowing Durham to continue? He could shut Durham down tomorrow and the media would barely mention it and most Republicans would not say a word about it. This whole thing pretty much goes away. We know Garland will do whatever to protect the current system. I have no clue why he is letting this go on but am glad it is happening.

Not very surprising is it? Hopeful that Jim Jordan will carry the torch, have no doubt that McCarthy is a swamp rat. Not enough republicans are screaming about this. Nunes is gone.

So true. At least the Rs should take back the House and it really will be up to Jordan to carry the torch. Few others seem interested.

Those still doubting Durham and his intentions must either just must be chronic non believers or just not paying attention. The investigation appears to be growing and widening. That's not what usually happens in a sham investigation or a coverup. Taking on the in house OIG is a big step. I can understand initial skepticism, but if you are paying attention this is digging deep. This is how you flip the big players on the upper management. Perkins Coie has enough archives I'm sure to put all the top tier DC swamp under the jail.

The reason there is so much hesitation, is because if it was truly a threat to the democrat establishment, the DOJ would shut it down. And not a word would be uttered by the MSM.

Garland is a partisan hack. He gets updates from Durham. He would shut it down quick fast and in a hurry if it was damning.

Call it a BAS flare up (battered AMERICAN syndrome)

It is bad enough Durham has a major uphill battle, but with the crooks in charge of the government, I can see this shutdown before he can map everything out. I hope you are right, but I fear this is going to be like every other attempt to drain the swamp. You will have a few patsies take the fall for moderate charges, but the deepest rats will stay insulated in the swamp.

Again, I would love nothing more than this to blow it all up and force a lot of these *******s out of power/control.

This is so toxic unless Biden is going to fall on the sword, Garland won't touch this. Garland knows he's toast at the end of Biden's term. Biden's not going to be re-elected and I doubt he will even run regardless of what they say. If they run Joe again they are handing the White House to the republicans regardless of who represents them. Biden will be lucky if he's not impeached after 2022.

Garland doesn't want to be without a chair when the music stops, he himself may face removal after the midterm, and if he shut down Durham he's gone for certain. This entire thing is radioactive. and the blowback of shutting down Durham at this point is suicide

Any investigation to remove "honest leaders" from the FBI and DOJ would be similar to running a fertilizer spreader on the 7th floor. Everything you spit out of the spreader is going to indict an FBI employee.

John le carre' writing couldn't hold a candle to this entire episode. Hell, it's possible it may be over the head of Durham too.

Man, what a story!
Hate is how progressives sustain themselves. Without hate, introspection begins to slip into the progressive's consciousness, threatening the progressive with the truth: that their ideas and opinions are illogical, hypocritical, dangerous, and asinine.
