There will be no trust in DOJ or other federal bureaucracies if there is no accountability and reckoning.
Agree. Seeing inside of the FBI "investigations" in the manner that we have I can say that today's FBI in no way resembles the FBI of my youth or even a large portion of my adulthood. I'm not completely sure when the switch occurred, might have been after 9/11 with The Patriot Act under Mueller or because Comey was allowed to gather his own team (and an incompetent one at that) with a disinterested and very weak AG.MouthBQ98 said:

...regardless of party or affiliation!!! Hang em high.cbr said:
corruption in office, abuse of process, obstruction of exculpatory evidence, crimes committed in public office, basically any kind of abuse of government power against citizens or espionage against the US should be capital crimes with the entire estate of the perpetrator forfeited to the victims as well.
it is the absolute worst possible crime that could ever be committed, in a class by itself, and frankly borderline exception to the prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment.
Thanks for the reply.aggiehawg said:Well, yes and no. Judicial notice can be taken of the guilty plea and the jury instruction given about it.richardag said:
Does the acceptance of the guilty plea affect any civil litigation Carter Page may bring?
I expect there's a settlement well before trial, however.
I wouldn't be surprised in a certain judge named Sullivan was also surveilled.ttha_aggie_09 said:They spied on Roberts and Scalia!nortex97 said:

I heard John Solomon on Hannity this afternoon and I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling about further action. I think he said "maybe" one or two more indictments before election. Hope he just doesn't know for sure.
Thought the same. Remember from my (too many) years in Austin how Ronnie <spit> Earle used to justify his indictments of political people as being against both Republican and Democrat. That was true but misleading in that he had been in office for so long that included when Dems had full control of Texas.Quote:
I've "wondered" if a Repub. was first for political reasons, i.e., before the Dem's encounter 'hell fire'.
The story about one month ago was that Durham may not be finished until after the election, and as of this week, I believe that.Rockdoc said:

Former CIA Director John Brennan was interviewed Friday by U.S. Attorney John Durham's team as part of its inquiry into the investigators and intelligence officials behind the 2016 Russia election interference probe.
The interview took place at CIA headquarters and lasted for eight hours, said Nick Shapiro, Brennan's former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser.
"Brennan was informed by Mr. Durham that he is not a subject or a target of a criminal investigation and that he is only a witness to events that are under review," Shapiro said in a statement.

Durham has never stated this... Brennan's team is pushing this so that when he gets indicted he can claim political prosecution... he's in deep doodoo and he knows itdrcrinum said:

I understand all depositions are different for good reason, but is an 8 hour deposition a long time? I'd be a disaster after about two hours, knowing that every single thing coming out of the attorney is designed to make me say something to help their client.blindey said:
Yeah you don't sit for a full day 8 hour deposition if you aren't a major player and I'm this case, a target.
Not really. A full day is not out of the ordinary. Multiple days, even weeks can occur depending on how complex the subject matter of the case is.fasthorse05 said:I understand all depositions are different for good reason, but is an 8 hour deposition a long time? Candidly, I wish Durham made the deposition 8 weeks. Brennan is an arrogant sob, and a really bad person. I guess a deposition is one area where arrogance is a good thing.
