Grennel could only be Acting for 270 days and there was not the appetite to go through a bruising confirmation battle, even if he is gay. He was the grunt to go in and detect the soft spots, throw some grenades and then retreat while the tank company moves in to finish the job.

I also think Ratcliffe has been behind the scenes directing Grennel where to go, since Ratcliffe has seen the documents in the SCIF when he was a House member. There will be little learning curve for Ratcliffe when it comes to declass. Expect a lot of photos of Ratcliffe with a lawyer's satchel (read "big") visiting Barr's office in the future.

This has been case since 2009. In some cases, he caused physical or financial harm, in other cases he black mailed them to do his bidding.

In his previous role as DIA, Flynn knew enough about this and had sufficient documentation to expose their corruption.

As a result, Flynn has to be charged with something to stop him from acting. That's why the FBI started an investigation to charge Flynn although no crime was committed.

With all due respect, there is nothing stopping him from acting. This position doesn't make any sense. Whatever information he has can be used at any time, either discretely or openly. In fact, releasing these so called "buried bodies" anytime over the last 3 years would help Flynn's case by exposing why the deep state is going after him.

Watch his eyes. Down and right. When you're making something up that's the direction you look. Down left shows the Brain accessing memory. Down right is fabrication.

Because Flynn was a vociferous and open critic of Obama on several fronts.

Things tended to happen to people who successfully got under Obama's skin. Joe the Plumber asks a question putting Barry on the spot, he gets audited. Atkisson and Rosen get a little too close for comfort regarding Benghazi, they get wiretapped. Republicans dare gather as 501c(3) organizations? Have the IRS hold up their applications and make sure the names of individual contributors get sent to those in a position to cause them a problem.

Flynn received all of that treatment. Only this time, Obama's minions are going to be held accountable for doing Soetoro's dirty work.

As an insider with authority and continued access, he could dig into and unearth all the information needed to expose and undo previous policies and actions the new administration disagreed with or found unacceptable.

If he was rendered into a disgraced criminal with no access and power and leaned on so he kept quiet to protect his family and his elf from further retribution, then he is FAR less of a threat. They knew from working with him that he didn't want to play along with their dogmatic progressive policies and nefarious intelligence abuses and if he had the authority to really dig into the state of affairs under Trump, he could help undo all of Obama's policy failure legacy AND might expose the abuses of the Intel apparatus to surveil political opposition.

Outside disgraced criminal or inside Respected authority figure: you tell me which version would be believed more, and would feel compelled to act?

Two of the three judges on the D.C. Court of Appeals handling Flynn's case were previously appointed to handle the Fokker case. The third judge was appointed by Trump.
