How will they "try to indict"? The specific policy is they can't.

Caught paying off stripper porn chick pales in comparison to BHO being caught with $200MM of foreigner donations..and no indictment.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/jasonleopold/christopher-steele-mikhail-lesin-murder-putin-fbi

Quote:

The US Death Of Putin's Media Czar Was Murder, Trump Dossier Author Christopher Steele Tells The FBI

The author of the famous Trump dossier provided a secret report to the FBI asserting that RT founder Mikhail Lesin was bludgeoned to death by thugs hired by an oligarch close to Putin. Three other sources independently told the FBI the same basic story, contradicting the government's finding that Lesin's death was accidental....

For his report to the FBI about Lesin, Steele gathered intelligence from high-level sources in Moscow, according to the two sources who read the whole report.

All four of the people who read Steele's report said it pins Lesin's murder on a professional relationship gone lethally awry. According to the report, they said, Lesin fell out with a powerful oligarch close to Putin. Wanting to intimidate Lesin, the oligarch then contracted with Russian state security agents to beat up Lesin, the report states, according to three of the sources. The goal was not to kill Lesin, all four sources said Steele wrote, but Lesin died from the attack....

Put this in the background with other things we know about Ohr. Obviously Ohr (& his wife) were 'friends' with Glenn Simpson & Christopher Steele from what we know about the handling of the Dossier & passing info to the FBI...but remember as well, Ohr also was dealing with Steele & Waldman concerning Oleg Deripaska & the latter's VISA problems, not to mention that there was also a pre-existing business relationship between Steele & Deripaska. But now we just find out (above) that Lesin, Putin's media czar, was reaching out to Ohr before Lesin mysteriously died in a DC hotel in Nov 2015, and that subsequently, Steele wrote a lengthy secret report for the FBI about Lesin's death, claiming it was a homicide and not an accidental death. How was Steele brought into this FBI investigation? Supposedly he contacted high level sources in Moscow? Who? Deripaska? Deripaska's friends? There was no time frame provided, but likely Steele's report was assembled in late 2016 while the Dossier was being completed.

(Let's not overlook the relationship between Deripaska & the FBI concerning the attempt to secure the release of Robert Levinson from Iran in 2009 that involved Mueller & McCabe, not to mention the business dealings between Manafort & Deripaska.)

Interesting how Deripaska seems to be integral to multiple different 'unrelated' enterprises...or are they 'unrelated'?

There have been a significant number of mysterious deaths of Russians around the world the last several years. What the hell is going on? Who's on first? Seems there is more to this than just the Dossier & associated scheme to remove/hinder Trump. Is Trump just an innocent bystander to a higher order of nefarious activities?

EXCLUSIVE: DOJ Wants To Keep Justification For Raiding Reported Clinton Foundation Whistleblower Secret

The Department of Justice is requesting that the justification of an FBI raid on a reportedly recognized whistleblower's home remain secret, according to a letter from U.S. Attorney Robert Robert Hur.

The letter was sent to the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on Dec. 7 in response to The Daily Caller News Foundation's Nov. 30 request to unseal court documents that would show the FBI's rationale for the raid....

Releasing the raid's justification would "seriously jeopardize the integrity of the ongoing investigation," Hur wrote in his eight-page letter. "Making this type of information public while this investigation is ongoing could harm the government's ability to find additional relevant evidence."

He also stated that his office opposed the court order's public release "to guard against possible tampering of witnesses and destruction of evidence, and to maintain the ability of the grand jury to investigate this matter."

Hur wrote that "unsealing would expose details of the government's investigation and impact the government's ability to secure charges in this matter." His letter also indicated that there were other "targets or subjects of the investigation."

The U.S. Attorney claimed that redacting the search warrant application "is not practicable" because the warrant is "interwoven with sensitive investigative information."

The above relates to Dennis Cain, the whistleblower in the Clinton Foundation/Uranium-1 fiasco.
There's a grand jury empaneled!

Pardon my ignorance(re: I am not a lawyer), but how do you know there is a grand jury empaneled?

What crime and defendant(s) are being heard by the grand jury? Since they raided the whistleblower, is he the defendant?

Again, pardon my ignorance.

Use of the words "to maintain the ability of the grand jury to investigate this matter," suggests an existing grand jury.

It would appear he is not the target of the investigation but had material that is relevant to the subject of the investigation, i.e. the Clinton Foundation and related entities, possibly the Clintons themselves.

ETA: If the whistleblower was indeed the target of grand jury investigation, he and his lawyer would have received a target letter by now.

Thank you,

I missed the statement "to maintain the ability of the grand jury to investigate this matter", getting senile I am.

Hopefully the CF or members there of are the defendant(s). After reading some of the responses to the original tweet, someone suggested that the raid could be(re: and has been used in the past) to verify the integrity of the witness and information.

Since the whistleblower turned over the documents to two other departments I doubt there could be any shenanigans at this point.

If there was shenanigans it would create even more crimes to be investigated.

Or black hats attempting to exposure the evidence & names of the individuals being investigated, thereby tainting the investigation/grand jury such as to render it impotent.

You're assuming he turned over everything. The raid is not to protect evidence they already have, it's to find what they don't have if there is any. It's my opinion they think he is holding something back. when you are dealing with the CLinton, you better have an insurance policy.

^ this right here, the raid was done to find out what information he "didn't" turn over, the guy blew the whistle so that he could give them what he wanted to, not what he had..... Clintons getting these people to turn in selective information as a "whistle blower" isn't going to work so well.

This quote "whistle blower" was possibly trying to kill 2 birds with one stone:

(1) protect his own arse from going down with the Clintons

(2) protect the Clintons by "selectively" turning in documents that were "less" harmful to the Clintons

IF this #2 turns out to be the case, then he may still be in "deep dog shat" !

I guess time will tell, their is a possibility that he turned over ALL documents, but I doubt it otherwise the Main Stream Media (aka Deep State Media) would not have been crying about this

Quote:

.....
They point to the sentencing memo filed Friday, for starters. On page 5, Mueller stated that Cohen "has provided relevant and truthful information" about "his own contacts with Russian interests during the campaign" to prosecutors in their investigation of Russian election interference. Though Mueller details contacts Cohen made with various Russians, he offers no evidence he contacted Kremlin officials in Prague, as described in the dossier. The Czech city, in fact, is not cited in any of his filings, though Moscow, St. Petersburg, Davos and other cities are.

Prosecutors corroborated the information Cohen provided about his Russia contacts with evidence -- including travel records -- they seized from him.

In addition, Cohen pleaded guilty last month to a single count of providing false testimony to Congress related to a Moscow real estate venture - which suggests there was no reason for him to correct his September 2017 statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee claiming, "I have never in my life been to Prague or to anywhere in the Czech Republic.".....

Yup. We knew that.

If you read the case, the FBI "claims" there was no evidence that he leaked classified materials. Take that with a grain of salt because this guy likely has the goods on a lot of important people in the IC.
