If only the media would spend 10% of the effort on this as it has spent trying to find anything and everything that could damage the reputation of Kavanaugh, the biggest political scandal in US history would mostly be uncovered for everyone to see

So any clue what the news conference is about today? Bunch of nothing?
Interesting. If immunity, Baker wouldn't be able to discuss anything/anyone under investigation ... including little fish. Personally, if there's a 'big fish' in play, I'd prefer Perkins Coie. Although I'm uncertain how they'd pierce the client/atty shield.drcrinum said:
With Baker singing and revealing a very incriminating meeting with Perkins Coie (assumption: Marc Elias) before the Carter Page FISA was issued, that means he must have an immunity deal. Also, there were questions he couldn't answer at the closed hearing because of ongoing investigations. Assuming Baker has some type of immunity deal, that means they are going after bigger fish. I think Comey must be sweating at the moment...he is going to have a hard time denying that he didn't know about this meeting.
There is another issue that comes to mind: Don't forget, Marc Elias was also general counsel for Hillary's Presidential Campaign. It's not just a case of Elias representing the DNC. I suspect that Elias would now be in jeopardy for a conspiracy charge. Do you think Podesta & Hillary knew about this meeting?
Elias has been joined at the hips with the DNC for a long time. He was the attorney of record for Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.Bulldog73 said:Or Kampala Harris's sister is associated with Elias at Perkins Coie.akm91 said:Don't forget it was Perkins Coie that brought Crowdstrike in to "investigate" the DNC server "hacking" as well.Quote:

a "lawyer for DNC/Clinton campaign" was the previously unknown source providing evidence to the FBI Russia probe in '16
Quote:
...The GOP sources said the documents -- made available recently to lawmakers by the Department of Justice -- revealed that James Baker, the FBI's general counsel, communicated with Mother Jones reporter David Corn in the weeks leading up to the November 2016 election. Corn was the first to report the existence of the dossier on Oct. 31 and that it was compiled by a former high-level western spy.
The Washington Post reported Thursday that Baker had been reassigned within the FBI, though the reason for the move was unclear.
Corn denied that Baker was a source for his story on the dossier....

Credit to where it is due. Aggiehawg has been saying Perkins Coie needed to be investigated since the beginning of this mess.
It won't happen, but nothing would make me laugh harder than the FBI going smash door on Perkins Coie, ala Michael Cohen.GreyhoundDad said:

AAANNNNDDDD, the crime/fraud exception is in play for waiver of attorney/client privilege.GreyhoundDad said:

Dirty tricks for sure ... but what crime did he commit?RoscoePColtrane said:
If this is correct Sussmann is F*****
Perkins Coie was acting as an "outside source" to corroborate Steele. More circular BS

No one expected the circus side-show the dems turned the Kavanaugh confirmation into. Kind of put lots of things on the back burner.4stringAg said:
