He's been murdered? I wondered about that when Team Mueller filed that ridiculous sentencing recommendation if they did so knowing the only person who could refute it was likely silenced permanently.Quote:
DNC lawyers wrote in court filings Friday that Joseph Mifsud, who spoke to Papadopoulos during the 2016 presidential election, "is missing and may be deceased," Bloomberg News reported. The lawyers did not elaborate.
Quote:
"Today, Essential Consultants LLC and Michael Cohen have effectively put an end to the lawsuits filed against them by Stephanie Clifford aka Stormy Daniels," Blakely told CNN.
The rescission of the Confidential Settlement Agreement will result in Ms. Clifford returning to Essential Consultants the $130,000 she received in consideration, as required by California law," he added.
A source familiar with Cohen's thinking told the network that Cohen no longer benefits from Daniels's promise to keep quiet about the affair.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing Daniels in her defamation case against Cohen and Trump over their denials of the alleged affair, told CNN that the move was likely made in an attempt to protect Trump from being deposed.
"I haven't had a chance to digest it, I just saw it on my email literally right before I came on," Avenatti told CNN.
"What they're trying to do is they don't want me to get a chance to depose Michael Cohen and Donald Trump," he added. "This is a hail mary to try and avoid that, that's my first guess."
Avenatti added in a tweet Friday night that Cohen "is back to playing games and trying to protect Donald Trump."
"He is now pulling a legal stunt to try and 'fix it' so that we can't depose Trump and present evidence to the American people about what happened. He is not a hero nor a patriot. He deserves what he gets," the attorney added.
Well, she sued to have the confidentiality agreement voided by the court claiming it was fraudulently induced. Instead of trying to enforce the agreement, Cohen is now agreeing to rescind the contract, making it go away as she wished only she has to pay back the consideration of $130,000.Prognightmare said:

Perjury trap. That's what he wants. Deposing her isn't that worthwhile because you cannot shame a porn star who is dumber than a box of rocks.bmks270 said:
What does he hope to get out of deposing Trump? Isn't it his client that violates the contract? Shouldn't Trumps team be deposing her? What a circus.
No. Cohen has a company, Essential Consultants, that has the actual contract with her, not Trump.bmks270 said:
This also seems weird because Cohen is still working for Trump then? Didn't he secretly record Trump and is being charged by the FBI?

Maybe Downer slipped him a mickey in his drink? Classic blackout.Quote:
Papadopoulos interview with CNN. Of course it's heavily politicized with CNN interjecting lots of 'defamatory' type material. I've only watched part (sorry, it's football Saturday), but at ...start at 19.00: Papa says he has no memory, no recollection of ever mentioning to the Australian Ambassador to the UK, Alexander Downer, that the Russians had damaging material on Hillary.

Interesting thread...even references a lawyer named 'Dixie'.
Sorry. I was imprecise. I meant to ask Roscoe, not you, since he's the only one who calls me "Dixie" and I am always blathering about fruit of the poisonous tree. LOL.drcrinum said:

I was doubting the credibility of this post until I saw the author quoted Levin and Hannity. Would be even more credible if Guiliani supported this opinion as well. That would really add weight to the argument.Quote:
Further as Mark Levin, Joseph DiGenova, Gregg Jarrett, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Sean Hannity, Sara Carter, Jay Sekulow and a number of qualified attorneys and former Federal Judges have detailed and as can be found in the 2000 VOLUME 24 OPINIONS OF THE OFFICE OF LEGAL COUNSEL OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CONCERNING THE OFFICIAL DUTIES OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL attached hereto, the President cannot be indicted or criminally prosecuted anyway
