Mueller is trying to clean up the mess that Barry and HRC left behind when she lost. The Cleaner isn't a good guy, he's there to clean up the Swamp mess.
He's doing a poor job of it, then. Very poor job. If I were one of those witnesses who had to turn over electronic devices, I would then have it checked out for spyware being placed on it by Mueller once it was returned. He's running a spying operation not a criminal investigation.
But you also have to realize, what a huge task he was given. We are talking about being tossed down a port o john that hasn't been serviced in a month, that's a lot of caca.

If he wanted to cover it up he would have conducted a small investigation for 6-9 months, file the sham Russian indictment and call it a day.

I agree with roscoe I wouldn't turn over a damn thing. He better provide a warrant. And if no warrant yet can't they just erase everything?
So there is a subpoena for HIlldawg's emails and she goes through, deletes what she wants, slow-rolls turning over the rest, and then bleach bits the server. That's the standard I'd use if they asked for my phone.

Teflon Don is a tough catch

But honestly Dixie this isn't about putting anyone in Jail. This is about completely destroying Donald Trump and his entire empire, for two reasons, first, DJT has pissed off a bunch of really bad people disguised as "just good ole politicians". He as kicked the fire ant pile in the swamp and it's irritating the hell out of them

Two, they want to be sure that they want to set an example so gruesome that no other billionaire tries to pull this again and come in and disrupt the system ever again.

The end of this clip shows how the GOP continues to fail(purposefully or not) in the court of public opinion. They give Dems/media a bat to hit them with.

Swallwell: "Even Republicans admit it wasn't a spy!" (McConnel, Ryan, Gowdy)

Tucker's response was almost perfect: "I think what they said is ludicrous."

He only should have added, "And I don't give a **** if they're Republicans, Democrats, or independents"

It's becoming clear that a lot of Republicans are scared. I think Obama/Hillary has them over a barrel if they don't toe the line. That, or they were in on the spying from the beginning.

The purposeful obfuscation is incredibly transparent, and they hate it. Eff every one of those losers.

Mueller got triggered?

Just seems like such a stupid waste of time money and judicial resources for a "teachable moment." Particularly so since it could and has boomeranged back on them.

Mueller cannot be serious about pursuing any claim of obstruction of justice in the firing of Comey since the leaks from the OIG report have all trashed the hell out of Comey. Plus, Rosenstein would have to recuse himself as a witness. (At least Lindsay has been pummeling Rosy over that.) Further Rosenstein's response to Graham said he would recuse if necessary. That tells me Mueller isn't looking at obstruction anymore, not on Comey, anyway.

As the obstruction in connection with Flynn, that narrative has fallen apart as well. Once again the execrable Comey is the star witness and now it is known Comey was lying to the White House, sending mixed messages as to whether Flynn was even under investigation to begin with. Comey telling Congress his agents didn't detect deception in Flynn. Altered 302s, etc.

Not a single federally elected official is going to call it spying unless they're fully committed to career/family/personal ruin. Know why? Because all of them do it. Every last one.

Worked with a guy who lived/worked in DC for a few years. He was the right hand to a very prominent black conservative. My contact told numerous stories of spying and dirty political gamesmanship tricks they all play on one another. Private investigators, plants in rival campaigns. They all do it. He ultimately quit when a different group tried to leverage young boys as bait and he realized what slippery slope he had been involved with. Said he tried to fight the good fight, but the machine was just too powerful.

The big difference however, in this scenario, is that whereas most of the Representatives and Senators use largely legal means of acquiring their dirt, the head of our federal government was in on the racket.

Folks need to go to jail.

What the Republican establishment don't understand (and probably never will) is we don't care if they are ousted. In fact, if they were involved in something shady we want them out...ALL OF THEM.

That's one of the biggest differences between Dems and Republicans, the Dems circle the wagons and stay tight...the R's are so deathly afraid of anything negative they'll roll over in a heart beat. As Trump would say...sad.

Quote:

NEW YORK In recently released testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, a key participant at the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with President Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. admits to being present at the same security conference in Canada where Sen. John McCain was reportedly first informed about the anti-Trump dossier.
Russian-born Washington lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin says he might have spoken to McCain and the senator's assistant David J. Kramer at the Halifax International Security Forum in 2016. However, Akhmetshin claimed that he did not discuss the dossier with McCain or Kramer, and that he didn't know about the existence of the controversial dossier.

The information raises immediate questions about the possibility of dirty tricks in arranging the infamous Trump Tower meeting. This considering a recent Breitbart News report that email transcripts and other information disclosed in Akhmetshin's testimony reveal a significant relationship between the lobbyist and the controversial Fusion GPS firm that produced the infamous, largely discredited anti-Trump dossier.

It was at the security conference in Canada in November 2016 that McCain says he was approached by Sir Andrew Wood, a former British ambassador to Moscow and friend of ex-British spy Christopher Steele, the author of the dossier.

Wood briefed McCain and Kramer, a former State Department official and longtime McCain associate who agreed to meet Steele in London for a fuller briefing on the dossier contents.

The Washington Post reported in February that after meeting with Steele, Kramer went to Washington and received the dossier document directly from Fusion GPS. McCain then passed the dossier to FBI Director James Comey.

Perino is so so with me, but she's too PR oriented non committal for me. She folds when pressured way too easily. Nice girl and means well, just not a trench warfare type.

Does Mueller fully realize his name and reputation were used as cover for a cleanup operation? I'm sure at first, based off the initial leaks and news and media coverage and the way it was carefully set up and framed by Obama administration officials and department holdovers that he thought he had a pretty straightforward task and a real investigation to conduct. I suspect he thought it would be nasty so he went and found some of the nastier rule bending aggressive lawyers and investigators he had worked with before and probably had recommended to him by people we now know were involved, and dug in. I think as he went, it had to have dawned on him how he was being used, but he seems to be in it to the bitter end now that he's committed. I don't necessarily think he was hand picked to run the coverup and take out Trump, but thought he was doing a real investigation, only to be made that look like a dupe and fool when the IG information hit him sideways and as more truths have leaked out. Now he's in a race to rescue his own reputation with SOMETHING to feed to the DC establishment and press that justifies his work, though I am at a loss as to why he wouldn't simply decide to turn the tables and put everything out on the table and say what we know to be true: the whole thing was a set up farce.
