Seems the 17 State AGs are not going to permit the former Watergate Prosecutors (now know as the 'Ancient Prosecutors' since their prosecution occurred in 1974) to submit an Amicus brief without a counter brief.

I just saw that. Kinda worried that Wray may have a personal angle on this.

But if the prosecution is as vigorous as I think it will be, then some folks are going to be convicted.

Just the pursuit of justice should be enough to force the future Comeys and Brennans of the world to think twice before they violate their oath of office again.
No only convicted but financially ruined. These scumbags hiding behind their governmental protective cloak need to reap what they sow.

As tempting as this is, and as despicable as these people are, I believe that the threat of being financially ruined because of the cost of defending yourself needs to stop being used as a weapon by the government.

That concern is at the heart of why Gen. Flynn plead guilty to a false charge in the first place (as it relates to knowingly false prosecution of his son).

I don't know how to fix it, but the government's ability to not only use it's full weight and power against you but to also cause you to go broke in the process regardless of the outcome (meaning even if you win you lose) is a really scary thing.
I think it's more along the lines of handing Flynn and Sidney a mountain of evidence that he could use to ruin everyone in civil court. All of these clowns sitting fat on their government pay/pensions. Every penny of that should be going to Flynn.

Well, two options:

1. He's trying to stall and keep things classified.

2. Barr's made him bend the knee a la Rosenstein and do as instructed or else.

What I was referring to was Wray seems to have been dragging his feet every since he's been there. Wondering if he's trying to take heat off himself instead of helping the truth come out.

Yeah,, you kind of have to wonder if the left over agents on the 7th floor have bronzed Comey's old chair.

Oh, you mean the real world term for obstructing justice?

I doubt this is happening, but I sure wish I knew if Barr/Durham were setting up Chris Wray!

Quote:

FBI Director Christopher Wray ordered an internal review of the handling of the bureau's investigation of former Trump campaign adviser Michael Flynn.

The "after-action" investigation, announced Friday, will focus on two areas: rooting out any misconduct by current FBI employees and evaluating the need to change bureau policies......

My point being that an internal review will only effect current FBI employees and whether they get fired or otherwise sanctioned for misconduct. Not only that but won't they be going over the same ground that USA Jensen just plowed?

So why announce this now?

Well the Office of Personal Responsibility did a review on Page, Strzok and McCabe during the process of firing them. Wray oversaw that effort.

It's a sham. It's a 'review procedures and current employees' investigation. In other words, "we will improve some processes and no one currently employed did anything wrong" BS pubic relations deal to counter anything Durham/Jensen come up with.

I questioned why this announcement and why now. Agree that it is likely a PR BS move. Doesn't make logical sense...unless...Durham has his FBI ducks in a row. Wray has been given permission to posture like that.

I don't believe in Wray but I do believe in Barr. Useful idiots are...useful at times.

The memo also contains evidence of other red flags, Brock explained, including that Strzok both drafted and approved the opening of his own investigation and originally segregated the memo so it could only be seen by "case participants" and not other FBI officials.

Asked whether as an FBI assistant director he would have approved opening Crossfire Hurricane based on what was in the memo, Brock said: "Not in a millions years.
