If laptop was legit but had no hard drive, there is literally no reason to even mention it at all. Just put it in the internal report and move on.

He was using the camera connected to the laptop to watch for cops in the hall. If he removed the hard drive, it would be after he shot the security guard.

I think we covered this with you last week. Those things you mentioned are what encompasses a potential conspiracy here. It doesn't have to be some out of this universe theory like ISIS or gun running, etc, but illegal income and using gambling to launder cash, as well as already having been on law enforcements' radar is a conspiracy....because we aren't being told the truth about it.
