Insane to me that we're still operating with (to my knowledge) 6 public photos total:

1. Eyes closed taking a shot
2. DMV picture
3-4. Two photos at least 25 years old provided by brother
5. In the background of photos in Philippines 2013
6. Sitting around the couches at bar

I heard someone comment on the news the other day that if he were in the CIA or something along those lines there'd be more information available about him because it'd be fishy to have as small of a footprint that this guy did. We're 100+ hours from the attack and news stations are actively using a DMV picture.. That's wild to me. I know exactly zero people pictured online less than 3 times.
This is where I watch the video of his brother being interviewed, realize that the brother was the normal one, and understand how strange Stephen Paddock must have been.

As far as how he earned his $$$, I could see him earning his living doing something illegal, but I wouldn't be surprised if he earned it "honestly" with real estate investments. There have been some real estate investment locations mentioned, like LA, where with decent timing he could have made a bundle. And given you can borrow to help cover the initial investment, it doesn't take just a ****-ton of capital to do this.

Assuming the are competent.

Hollywood has given the public a false impression that the FBI and the rest are filled with these smart super dedicated individuals trying to do the right thing.

They are filled with the same type of people found at every single company/group/club/whatever in this nation, people that are smart, dumb, moral, lazy, weak, corrupt, dedicated, and filled with apathy.

This is from the Oval office, down to your local city janitors. They are just filled with normal people, and they are not special.

The problem with the Feds, State, and even local governments, unlike companies, is they rarely cull the weak links. They often times, get more responsibility and more power.

I have an idea. We have Federal LEO's and screenwriters switch places!

Congrats to Feinstein for bringing herself to the "really makes you think" parade.

Feinstein also revealed that her daughter nearly attended the music festival and had planned to stay at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where the shooter perched as he shot into the crowd.

"I just thank God. ... It's one of those misses in life, could have happened to any one of us," she said.

Face it. Trump is most certainly being kept in the loop. If it was something he could make hay out of, he would have tweeted about it already. And if he didn't there are too many people involved in the investigation for there not to be a leak.

I'm not so sure about that. Maybe I'm being naive, but I'm not sure how much Trump is kept in the loop of certain parts of what is going. Largely because of his propensity to fire off tweets about it.

Recent things that come to mind are Trump firing off tweets about Iran test firing missiles when our intel knew it was not true and Trump firing off tweets about not negotiating with little Rocket Man when Tillerson and SoS were in talks with them.

I frankly don't believe her. Queen of the libs daughter going to a C&W concert? I don't think so. She would loose her lib street cred if she went. Unless daughter is estranged from mom and is somehow a conservative.

LOL! Mythbusters did an episode on James Bond stuff and busted the "I'll shoot a tank and watch it explode" myth years ago.
Am I the only one that set out to disprove this nonsense, as a 12 year old?

I was almost killed from a bonfire that was soaked with jet fuel and lit with a flaming arrow. It exploded with enough force to blow windows out of buildings a block away.
that's some serious 'neck street cred right there

this whole "multi millionaire" angle just doesn't add up for me... the brother talking about how much wealth they have while leaned up against the cheapest car Chevrolet makes?.... the media hasn't found any previous employers to interview?... no one he worked with at any of those jobs?

It doesn't add up for me because I don't think he is. In fact, I'm betting there wasn't much more to his name than the $100k he sent.

Gambling a million in a casino is no big deal over time. I can take my piddly $500 bankroll, spend a weekend at a blackjack table, and if you tally'd up how much $$$ I "risked" over the course of the weekend if you count every hand I played, it would be a ridiculously high sounding amount of money. But it was peanuts in reality.

Maybe he exchanged words with the security guard? Who know what they found in the car that isn't revealed, maybe 10 million cash and a hotel reservation in Mexico or some other booked travel? We don't know what the investigators are keeping secret. but I'm not sure he wanted to escape because he rigged the hallway with cameras.... if he wanted to escape seems there are other places you'd put cameras to give you more time to flee.

I've read reports that the shooter barricaded the stairwell doors. Elevator was only way to his floor. Not sure how anyone could plan to escape that.

For the love of everything nice and cuddly.

WTF?

You're more annoying than any single poster on this thread. You add zero substance, but you sure are quick with your single sentence, snarky replies. You should try adding some form of entertainment, news, etc.

And FWIW, At the time I thought this was another far fetched conspiracy idea (like you had earlier in this thread) about barricading the doors to the stairwells. Which is why I made that comment.

I find it amusing that media outlets think they are reporting "cutting news" on this tragedy and it is information most of us have already been made aware of hours, if not an entire day, before.

I could see a situation where more gates were open to accommodate the volume as people entered the venue, but once people were in and the volume drops off, you essentially "close" entrances. I would assume when doing so, there would still be adequate options to exit - and those may have still been a possibility to use as exits.

The guy banked $20,000 in the three days he was at Mandalay Bay before the shooting. Cedars and Mandalay Bay said he was in the top 10% of their gamblers.

Of his four known residences the were all paid in cash. The guy was making serious bank off of gambling.

He made $3.2m off of the apartment complex sell. You don't get the comps he received without spending a crap load. You can't spend it you don't have it. He was well known up and down the strip.

someone got their hands on a leaked copy of a portion of the tax return for the POTUS but there's nothing on this guy? where did you find the info on the apartment sell?

Paying for everything in all cash seems shady as heck to me... I'm just curious what the hell the guy was into.

Are any of his properties listed online by tax appraisal districts?
