Not really my point. To be more clear, his brother is saying "this is what happened" because it's logical based on the situation and his brother, not because he was actually there or knows specifics. Because he provided some made-up detail to add some color to his logic, some posters are incorrectly assuming that is somehow a "gotcha!" slip of an actual fact that he knew.

I hear that the hotels need to carry an additional two bags an hour to stay solvent.

Or he asked for two place settings to eat at different times

That being said there was another woman of interest that the police are looking for and she could have been in there eating with him.
As a proud "graduate" of the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center I can say this type of thing is something a good roomservice person would avoid asking about at a high-end property. One of their mantras was that you don't take an inconsequential issue (like the number of people in a room) and turn in to a potential negative. They actually even used roomservice as a specific example. You make a best guess and avoid these types of scenarios:

a.) The guest is a chronic overeater and will feel guilty about ordering enough food to make you assume two people were in the room. In his angst he gambles less.
b.) The guy has a hooker in his room and will be forced to acknowledge there is someone else there when he's supposed to be alone on his business trip. In his angst he gambles less.
c.) The guy came to your resort to hook up, failed, and when he has to admit to one place setting you are reminding him he's alone. In his angst he gambles less.
d.) This is the second anniversary of the last meal he had with his wife before she was killed by an escaped alien at Area 51. By having to say he's alone he will gamble less.

The attendant should err on the side of caution and in the unlikely event the guest complains about too many place settings you simply say you wanted to make sure he had a full place setting for each course/meal.

I know personally at some high end properties I've received a full place setting and ice water for a soup and another for a sandwich.

Regarding the 2 guests thing. I worked in restaurants for many years, traveled plenty and do a fair amount of watching behavior.

I agree in most situations you are rarely asked how many guests room service will be for. An observant person would clue in on words like, "I'll have" or "We'll have." In some case it might, "I'll have..., and then we'll need..." That is an obvious give away.

In some cases, like mentioned... if I order an entree and an appetizer\salad\dessert, I'll get the number of place servings to match. The designation the person taking the order is to convey to the deliverer how many "potential" people the food may be for. In some cases the person delivering might have several servings and then take some away.

Another way to get the information might be to ask be if they don't request any beverages... "How many waters would you like?"

Last point is... the policy of MB (as it is with other hotels I've stayed) is to simply assume 2 people. If I order a bottle of wine or more than 1 beer... I will usually get 2 wine glasses, or 2 steins.

So I've seen many videos but this appears to be the only one of the entire incident. Sounds like four, ten second bursts followed by two single shots. If we assume he has mags holding 50 rounds @ 4 bursts. That's 200 total rounds, the exact number the sheriff said was shot through the door. Something isn't adding up, or does someone have different math, info or gun knowledge that would explain the number of rounds shot from the audio we have?

"Can I get your bags?"
Say "No, Thank you"

Think, "Nope, I got two legs, two arms, and I know where the bell cart is if I need it"

It is clear at a minimum that he (the brother) had shot at least at a LV experience gun range because he said so. He talks about how the bump stocks "beat you up" and he couldn't do it because of his shoulder. Its not a long leap to assume that he did this with his brother.

Yes, you can say he is making logical guesses about why his brother used the tripod, and the tipping for carrying the stuff up and the bump stocks in the bag.

I believe he at least talked to his brother about what he was up to and he may or may not have put the dots together but I don't get the feeling that this was surprise.

Just my opinion from listening to the interview and trying to figure out what's going on. There really isn't much valid out there to try to figure this out other than the brother's words.

Totally get if people see it a different way.

But what person snaps a photo like that and sends it to this chick of all people? And the server also sends their receipt to this chick? And the other person also texts this chick about the room reservation? Why only running to the same reporter? Why not leaking to CNN, Fox, and the papers? I'm skeptical of this lady's reporting.
Not trying to be a Richard but it's obvious why no one is running to give the MSM inside info on this case; they will manipulate it or lie about to do it fits the false narrative being put out by the FBI.

If you believe that... then you are either a snob... or never stayed in "a suite."

I rarely, if ever allow someone to take my bags. I stay at the Venetian just about once a year and I don't think I've ever had them take my luggage.

Most of the time I don't have cash... and I'm not comfortable asking someone to bring up my bags, without tipping them.

I'm very cheap about spending money on fringe services like that, which I can do myself.

And most of the time I don't want to wait for my stuff.

At the Gaylord, we did do it, last year because my kids were ready to go to see Ice!.

At the JWMarriott... never done it.

Not to make light of everything but with all the theories out there that people are coming out with, this guy is starting to sound more and more like Trevor everyday.

  • cia informant
  • gun runner/drug runner
  • make cash with no one knowing how
  • buy and sell real estate with cash
  • gambler

Maybe the answer is simpler than we think?

I think his brother was supposed to be in on it... realized his shoulder wouldn't allow it, so his brother was part of a "get-away."

I think it is only a matter of time before the FBI takes him into custody. For now, I'm assuming they have someone under cover (as though they are in the media) and asking him a question or two. They are watching\following him, and will detain him once he quits blabbering.

On a different note, thought I'd post this ....

My wife and I were talking the other night about what it would be like for Jason Aldean and the other artists who performed that night to get back out on stage and perform their next shows. I'm not sure how they can just tune out what happened - I honestly don't think I could.

Eric Church played at the festival on Friday night. He was hit hard by the news of Sunday night, and was scheduled to play at the Grand Ole Opry a couple days later. Here's the video of his appearance there - might get a little dusty in the room ...

You should watch Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis on HBO. It's about the Eagles of Death Metal returning to play at the Bataclan a few months after the massacre. Shows you what kind of emotions and all of that Jesse Hughes had to go through to get back up there.

Good watch.

I wonder if he had a burner phone. I'm sure they looked on the ground under the broken windows in case things fell/ or were thrown out.

Also, off topic, but why does the article under that one call out the fact that those women were lesbians? Who cares what they were and why that matters? jeez. . .

Seems like the Gaylord may have been like that. When we unloaded the car and put our stuff on the cart, it was taken to where the rest of the carts were, and tagged. We tried to grab the cart and couldn't, IIRC.

I believe at the Venetian... the carts aren't openly accessible. When I have checked a bag, you take it to the room to the right as you enter and drop it off. They take it back to another room. I don't recall seeing carts, although I wouldn't have necessarily been looking.

Unlike, say the Hampton Inn, where they are easy to grab and load.

If this was at a valet, it may have been different all together. I don't like to valet. Both services I prefer to avoid because I'm cheap and capable of doing myself (in most cases).
