And I was there the 7th - 13th. I wish I would've saw this while I was there so I would've stayed in my room the last two days. That would've saved me quite a bit of money.

So the police onsite held there position since the shooting stopped and waited for swat to arrive. I can see that. In large metro areas is it fair to expect an hour for swat to arrive onsite?

Yah, but what did he eat? Anything less than steak and lobster as a last meal and we know it's a set up.

With all the chaos outside, I would think it would take a little bit.

The level of smug coming from the tin foil police is becoming more insufferable than the tin foilers themselves.

What if the "active shooter" situation where Michael Bennett got detained was a dry run to measure police response time.

Not saying that Bennett was involved, but the erroneous report of a shooter could've been a test.

This may have been discussed but how does a vegas high rise hotel not immediately know when a window is broken and the location?

You're correct, police scanners warned police to back up SWAT was about to breach

Their first step is to protect their cash - close the transaction counters and close the vault. I don't see any security on windows that high up.

Wasn't this the building that caught on fire during construction? Totally unrelated but it looks familiar.

My aunt's best friend survived that shooting. 20 years later she walked into the back yard with a kitchen knife and stabbed her self to death.

Are you thinking of the Monte Carlo fire in 2008?
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Don't know about the fire, but MB is an older lower budget casino. It's almost 20 years old which is getting up there for vegas, Wouldn't have been surprised if it was demolished in the next 5-10years before this happened. Might happen sooner now.

Very interesting.

What really waiting on is if we get forensic reports of different kinds of impact hits that don't match the firing sequence.

That 4chan thing is very easy, and if genuinely pre-dated this ---- something to mull indeed. The motive is also plausible in its cynical self-serving character rather than ISIS related.

We need to learn more about the culprit first and that will take time- recorded conversations, bank deals, etc. Those will come out in doled out amounts.

There aren't a whole lot of people in Bell County that weren't affected by that in some way. George Hennard lived in a nice big brick home in Belton and was having some sort of a dispute with the city over damages to the brick wall surrounding the property in the days before he snapped. The home and the brick wall is still there in Belton. A good friend of mine worked for a local building supply store and was selling Hennard some materials at the time and Hennard had his name written on a piece of paper in his office. Police found it and had questions with my friend about his interactions with the guy.

Edit: I don't mean to equate my friend's story with the tragic death of your Aunt's freind. Sorry if it comes across that way.

I'm not into conspiracy theories but the hour break when he's sittting on an arsenal like that is weird

maybe he wanted to watch his aftermath on TV

Still don't understand this part. He meticulously planned this massacre, but his only option when hotel security showed up was to shoot them, then his self? That makes zero sense.

It seems plausible to me that security showed up at the 10 minute mark. He shoots hrough the door, assumes police are going to barge in and shoot him up, so he takes the cowards way out.

There was no interaction between him and anyone else until swat breached. Conceivable he was dead already for all that time.

How so? He shot himself. He shot plenty of other people.

To add to the conspiracy theory, so they say the outside camera was mounted on one of those service carts used to deliver room service. This brings up the possibility the service carts were used to bring in the guns and there were insiders at the hotel? Especially since they said room service visited his room every day.

It's obvious that is how the guns were brought up and then ISIS left in a laundry cart right thru the back door.

If I'm that heavily armed, I'm not worried about them coming in until I'm out of ammo. 23 weapons and a stack of unused mags? If he spent that much money on weapons and ammo, why no body armor?

The most unexplainable thing at this point is how/why he stopped shooting after 9 mins.

My guess is because he committed suicide long before the SWAT entered the room. After the initial shootout he probably just offed himself thinking they were about to enter his room.

The Police stated today that they are not sure when he shot himself.

no it's just weird that he's stop shooting with tons of ammo left and just chill

but of course he had his reasons I'm sure
