Well, an election is about choosing between alternatives.

So, since the topic came up, let's philosophically reflect about who KAMala has surrounded herself with.

Wait, she was actually widely considered the worst boss on Capitol Hill (since SheJack departed this mortal coil), with the highest staff turnover in the entire Senate? LOL. Well, let's take a look at her current campaign staff then:

She's rumored to be considering Liz Cheney (LOL again) for Secy. Of State/Defense. The anti-christian party of death and war indeed.

I really have no idea what you're talking about, which is fairly normal.

Do you have anything of substance to add as to who she has hired/her staff that is on (I think your?) point? Am I now discredited for citing the wrong thing/source again?

"Everyone who doesn't agree with me is racist." Is so tiresome.

A quick search of the posting history of the guy you quoted shows he's a racist and an antisemite. That's your source. That's the guy you're relying on to support your argument. Forgive me if I don't buy what he sells.

Even if the guy was a respectable source, the tweets nortex posted are really kind of boring. OK, so one of Harris' advisors is the granddaughter of Cesar Chavez. Is that in of itself controversial? And the tweets about Quentin Fulks are similarly underwhelming. Oh no! He's worked with Raphael Warnock! Is that really it?

I don't know if he's a racist and an antisemite as I haven't bothered to search his history.

Fine, more vague references, but nothing to substantively defend who Quentin Fulks and Julie Chavez Rodriguez are, and what they have represented/supported. I suppose these are just 'very fine people.' Or Jen O'Malley Dillon, who, checks notesโ€ฆgot her start supporting the morally disgusting Jon Edwards in his abortive 2 presidential campaigns.

So tell me again, who are the great people who KAMala has hired we should feel good about in a potential future cabinet.

Totally agree! John Edwards cheated on his wife and broke campaign finance laws in his attempt to cover it up. That is certainly morally disgusting and it rightfully ended his political career. And yes, everyone who supported him or made excuses for him definitely should be looked down on.

Good thing the Republicans wouldn't ever have to worry about something like that, right?

The lack of a moral character from the left, and the people around KAMala is something we can agree on. Thank you. I think I'd stack the likes of Chris LaCivita up against such ilk any day.

The people around/working for the executive do matter, a lot, and while I'm not happy about everyone rumored to be on Trump's lists, I would be very, very nervous about nearly every name on such a KAMala one, based on her staff, and historical turnover rate.

Your entire argument seems disingenuous because you point at a behavior as very concerning when it comes to those you already have political disagreements with but are entirely willing to overlook those same behaviors when done by people you agree with politically.

Why not just be honest about it? You don't really care when a politician cheats on their spouse or commits campaign finance violations, but you are willing to pretend you do if it is politically advantageous.

I'll applaud Trump for one thing. He permanently dispelled the idea that conservatives give a damn about morality in politics.

The emphasis you put on Kamala's name should dispel any idea that you care about norms or morality in politics. You just care about winning. That's fine, but stop trying to pretend you care about character.

I'm actually not even sure what the "KAMala" thing is supposed to be about. I assume it's the same old trope about making fun of foreign sounding names but is there anything else to it?

Perhaps it's a reference to a supposed change on the syllable of emphasis in her name?

You seem very angry and are lashing out about the data I have posted, not me. It seems clear KAMala has relatively low quality people/ideologues working for her, and running her campaign (while reversing so many of her 2020-era public policy positions, btw, without explanation). If the opposite were true, I think this would have been rebutted with facts/examples instead of attacking me or my sources/posts.

Trump, while flawed of course, himself seems to have been a good person overall in his life, and has worked to hire good people around him/his company, with wildly diverse backgrounds. His family and kids reflect that.

As a Christian, to me the choice is quite clear.

Look, I find it 'weird' that she has changed the preferred pronunciation of her first name 3 times at least (as discussed by this Indian American linked below) as an adult public figure, but I don't want to be accused of being a racist so I try to abide by her current pronunciation when typing it out online.

Her history, regardless, warrants consideration from a non-knee-bending source such as 60-minutes aka "CBS News."

I suspect you already know what you're saying is BS and are continuing because you think annoying people equals winning the conversation. You have fun with that. I'd rather not play along.

No. It's questioning the reliability of a source who has repeatedly demonstrated bigotry and an agenda based around racist and antisemitic views of the world.

She's been a public figure for 30+ years. I'd assume there is video out there from the 1990's of her introducing herself so it should be pretty easy to show how she pronounced her name then versus now. So let's see a comparison.

It should be easy. But I've only heard passing reference to this, so I framed as a question. I don't really care about pronunciation changes, but put it out there as a theory. Anyway, everyone can continue arguing about Harris and Trump.

If I did to support the claim '2+2=4', would you die on this hill?

If truth isn't independent of the individual making the claim, it doesn't really matter who I quote; you're within your rights to disregard it. Your ideas are corrosive to society and deprive us of any common ground. It's what you wanted, you just assumed you'd always have power.

Except claims like this aren't simple math equations that can be verified to the exact same degree by anyone with the requisite knowledge. When you're building a narrative based on a selection of facts and ideas (which we all do), the messenger chosen matters. It calls into question the presentation of that narrative and the facts not included, to say nothing of the accuracy of the facts that are included. This isn't 2+2=4. This is similar to asking David Duke for a history of the Jewish people.

I'd place the burden of proof on those claiming she has maintained a consistent pronunciation of her name. Is there video of her 20 years ago pronouncing it as KAMala? Claiming Dhillon is making it up, contrarily, seems unlikely. She's not a silly/dumb woman.

Or like you teaching history at a university? There's always a little truth mixed in, good liars include some.

Why would we trust Marx, given his blatant racism? Why trust derivative theories? We could go on and on but your ad hominems are tiring and pedantic.
Sapper Redux
How long do you want to ignore this user?
You shouldn't trust Marx on much. He was a theorist and a philosopher. His ideas on material and economic motivations for social change are extremely important, but it doesn't mean you trust everything he says or every example he uses. But we aren't talking about Marx. We're talking about uncritically using someone whose posting history is littered with racism, xenophobia, and antisemitism as a source. Anything they say about someone like Kamala Harris or her advisors should be taken with a massive grain of salt. And that didn't happen. Questioning a source when it has a clear conflict of interest on a person or topic, particularly when the conflict is an egregious one, is not an ad hominem.
