If you could, please pray for Mrs soulslaveag's grandmother. She just passed. Prayers for her soul and for their family.

Wasn't unexpected, as she has been on hospice for sometime now with pretty advanced Alzheimer's. Glad she's is at peace and with the Lord.

One of my best friends on the planet is having a sonogram tomorrow because the doctor fears IUGR, meaning she hasnt grown in 4 weeks or gained weight. The appointment is at 8:45. If she has IUGR, labor will be induced or a csection asap because it is very dangerous for little Emelia. I'm very worried for my friend and baby niece.

Having trouble sleeping tonight knowing how scared and uncomfortable my friends are.

News is tentatively good. Tiny baby in the 11 percentile of weight for it's age, nearly two weeks behind in development. They'll monitor the situation weekly. Could be ready to go any minute.

Tentatively good news is a positive. Will keep praying for little Emelia (love that name, btw).

Baby Emelia was born and is perfect and sweet and oh so cuddly. I love her.
How are all of y'all doin?

As for me, I was laid off of my job in July (company wide layoffs, not cause) and I've been looking since, doing a bit of contract work for a friend's dad. Mostly feeling pretty lost and directionless and unmotivated and generally sorry for myself. Newton's law about motion really feels true for me and depression is looming with the shortening of days. Finding it hard to get motivated and up and enjoy having time to explore or motivated to get a new gig or start a new venture or anything. I've applied to jobs both in Houston and in my industry in other cities with no response so far. My landlord let me know that my (month to month) lease is coming to an end December 1, which leaves me in a bit of an odd position.
However, a position for the church synod in the Lutherans for Life group opened up. I think I have a fairly good chance of being offered the job (interview tomorrow). This would be a huge change in life direction and probably would make it difficult for me to go back to the (very liberal) fashion industry and is probably monetarily limiting.

I'd love your prayers for guidance and the right spirit..or other opportunities if that is what I should do.

Found out that we are adding a round of ammo to our arsenal back in July, and that the baby is boy this past friday. SoulsSlave Ag III Is expected on 3/16/18. Prayers of joy and health for him and Mrs SSA are appreciated..... and for my sanity come spring... much green beer will he need on St Patrick's Day!

So I found out tonight that my dad is boarding a friend of his wife's granddaughter. She called asking to be picked up from home...which they did..and took her straight to the hospital. She had been raped by her step father. She is living with my dad's family right now, her mom packed all of her belongings into 4 trash bags and handed them off to my dad. Step dad was arrested and released on bail, girl is heavily protected (police at the house, family friends nearby and at the office with firearms etc) and living with my dad.)

Besides all of the stress and trauma this is for the girl, my dad, his family, her family etc .. this is an opportunity for my dad to exemplify what a strong Christian Male looks like in a household and to possibly introduce her to the church for the first time.

Please please pray with me that some good comes from this horrific situation. That she can learn some peace from being in a more loving and Christian home.

I know not many people are probably still up but my little boy could use a quick prayer.

Long story short his grandma was carrying him and tripped over the baby gate we have for the older son and awkwardly fell on him. He was alert and everything is probably ok, but my wife and grandma are off to the hospital to get him looked at.

They got back home around 330 this morning.

Baby has a bruised side, but other than that, he's a healthy baby! For how dependent they are on us, they sure are durable.

Grandma was heading home today and left. She was still pretty upset with herself no matter how many times we told her accident happen.
