Hmmmm, haven't seen it yet, and so i'm asking y'all's opinions on this...does it need a sequel? Is there enough story left to justify a sequel? I feel like so many sequels, especially horror movie sequels, are lesser movies than the original. They stretch a good concept too far and just diminish the overall product.

Although I have heard some people suggest the idea of unrelated stories involving the wish/curse from Obsession in an anthology TV series. I think that might be the best way to go.

I was questioning the 16:55 clock too and apparently it was just a prop error due to budget/time restraints and had no meaning.

I'm thinking about the ending. My first thought was that Bear finally acted in her best interest and manned up in that he took his own life instead of hers. But then in thinking about it more it was actually the cruelest thing he could've done, once again taking the easy way out for him and leaving her with 3 dead friends and most likely a life in prison sentence and unbearable trauma. Not to mention her begging to kill her when they were in bed knowing that it was going to continue to get much worse and him walking away. Then the worst happening after that. He was the true villain

He was 100% the true villain and the ending confirmed it. His final act of taking the pills was supposed to be the 'right' thing to do but he then starts to make himself vomit it back up! He was ultimately a coward and was going to condemn Nikki if it weren't for her wish that stopped him.

Yup that was not the original ending, I think it was gonna end with him just dying.

But the actor said Bear needed that final moment of cowardice that gets interrupted. He was a piece of **** to the end

Going to be the stick in the middle here. But scary…no. Not in the least. Atmosphere set-up was well done, huge props to that. Had a hard time getting past the male lead being such a weenie. Dark comedy….Yes! I laughed my ass off. When he wished for the billion I lost my **** in hysterics. Otherwise (especially as a horror) way over hyped IMO.

Yeah marketing definitely went into overdrive on this one. Closer to dark comedy than horror (but horror puts butts in seats). Fun watch, but I was thinking it'd be scary.

Just watched this and was thinking the ending was going to be him locking his house in with duck tape and staying with her. I was wrong

I think a few months later, this has already proven to be true.

I had never even heard of this movie until last night when my husband saw it promoted on Peacock and suggested we watch it because of the high RT ratings.

I laughed my ass off during the party scene and the money wish, not to mention the aftermath of the attack on Sarah, which looked about as realistic as the dead cat. It was creepy as hell but also the most fun I've had watching a movie in a while because I went in without any expectations or knowledge ahead of time. I think the low budget gave it an "old school" feel.

Funny thing is we had been waiting to watch it when it came to subscription streaming, but because I had such high expectations, it really fell flat for me. I found the movie to be more comical than scary. Not my type of horror I guess.

Each to their own but I found no humor in any of it. It was tragic in that a man's selfish wishes imprisoned a girl in a form from which she could not escape. It was creepy as all get out and thought it was excellent. The point above with the scene with Sarah did look a little fake, but they did only have $750k to work with.

Need to get you a little darker sense of humor. Dark comedy is comedy.

This. My daughter kept poking me in the side in the theater because I kept losing my sht laughing through a lot of it. My sense of humor though has always been a bit complex/dry/ and at times dark.

I thought it was a good movie, but it fell well short of the hype. Entertaining but nothing special and not creepy / scary at all.
