Thaddeus absolutely cracks me up

So it seems like they're being obvious he isn't a ghoul. But what is he? I can't place it based on my hand playing experience at least.

Great episode. I don't know where this season will end up but I have loved this ride so far.

Holy ***** Get out of my head! I was literally thinking this exact same thing as the Ghoul was booting up Mr. House.

I hope they stick at least a few of these open storylines, by season's end.

I also like how Maximus is no slouch in that armor. His skill-up with his power armor is cool to see.

That was awesome! Can't wait for next week and next season.

Called it on Welch getting the diode and being part of The Enclave, but how did she end up in the mainframe as a head? I kind of have a feeling that Hank's vault is not actually in New Vegas but somewhere else, and there is just a way to get there from New Vegas like an underground train or something.

Seeing Steph in Vegas and getting her backstory opens up so much. It explains how she got into Vault-Tec and 31, but what's her plan? I don't think she's the one Hank was talking to, but I have to think she has an ulterior motive for being in the vaults specifically. The line that she learned a lot before she went under hints that she has some pretty important secrets. What's in the keepsake box?

That oven handle isn't going to hold Hank.

House is back. No idea where this is going, but I think Coop has something rigged to kill him.

WTF is Thaddeus? He's definitely not a ghoul.

ETA Also saw it noted whenever else that Claudia came out of a pod for Joanne Wormwood, which I missed. Who is she really? The being at Vault-Tec for a week never made much sense.

Awesome episode

Feels like we are building for the long haul with this show. So many factions have been introduced and conflicts begun, no way we resolve it all next week.

Here's to many more seasons of:
- Enclave
- Super Mutants
- Caesar's Legion
- NCR
- Brotherhood of Steel (West AND East coast)
- Mr House
+ Steph, Norm, Betty, Hank, Lucy, Maximus, Thaddeus, and Coop's personal storylines.
Thanks and gig'em

I am thinking she releases FEV virus on Betty's vault and possibly now her own. When Betty demands that her vault gets the water after the transaction, Steph says you will get your water in a threatening way. In FO3 at least, FEV was going to be released in the water.

It would also tie in to Norm asking "What is going to happen to our vault?" And Steph being told "they're Americans" for how she could do something really ****ed up to a group of people.

It would also be a typical fallout move for Chet to finally speak up and stand up for himself yet it lead to his and entire vaults doom.

That all makes sense. Would also explain the keepsake box, which presumably has the FEV.

I can't remember from the games, but does FEV turn humans into those huge mutants?

Edit, found this: he's turning into a FEV mutant, but not the good, super mutant kind.

On the question about Thaddeus

He's most likely turning into a Centaur. Not super common creatures, but IMO one of the most freaky creatures in the Wasteland. They were made by the FEV, as well, in the same experiments as the Super Monsters.

Centaurs were created by dipping multiple animals / humans in a vat at once, so he might be turning into something else. I think they will do something original. Thaddeus is a too fun a character to lose that way, and the show doesn't have the vibe of going heavy body horror.

That said, I was totally wrong about thinking Step wouldn't be a Canadian revolutionary and I am so down for being surprised

not disagreeing with you, because you're right about how the centaurs are formed. I do wonder though because Thaddeus has definitely got that sidekick vibe, and that's what the centaurs are for the super mutants that maybe he is turning into that. Hed be a great contrast to the super mutant who saved coop/ghoul earlier in the season as a sort of eager assistant while that super mutant seemed stoic and serious all the time.

True, but we don't know which version of FEV he got. He could become just another Harold or Master, or something else.

This is a weird situation in that the games exist, but this is all new info and story instead of a retelling of one of the games. So, even just discussing the types of creatures or factions that exist are not direct spoilers but could possibly reveal something that others might want to find out about naturally.

For instance, the the introduction to deathclaws is probably a lot cooler if you had no idea they existed until you saw it in the show rather than read about them on the Internet.

Us that have played the games have no idea where this show is going, so that's really exciting. We didn't even know who/why/how the bombs got dropped until the show. So, highly doubtful we ruin the show, but still fun to discuss what creatures and places might turn up.

You know that just made me think they have missed some opportunities to have some fun with typic Bethesda glitches or bugs from the games or ways gamers do things. Something like Maximus I can't haul all this junk, Thaddeus I am full as well, what do we do..then seen them dragging a body with stuff hanging out of pocket....(for non-gamers, way to haul stuff when over encumbered), or something reflecting one of Bethesda's notorious physics glitches...

Maybe an unpopular opinion but can we make it a rule that you have to say what the general topic/idea is of the spoilers you are hiding in spoiler tags?

Blocks of black text with no indication whatsoever of what's being discussed is lame. Do I click or not click?

If it's behind black ink, it's generally folks talking about something that exists in the games that hasn't been revealed in the show.

Since there is the risk that it could come across as a spoiler, they're blacking it out. But it might also never come up in the show.

Like imagine if during season 1 folks were asking if Mr House or Caesar's Legion would show up. That would largely be meaningless and annoying to a non-game player. Both have shown up in season 2.

Non- game player here (well, I played Fallout 1 for a bit when it first came out ages ago), and this is the most fun I've had watching a show in a long time.

Ok so made it through EP 2 of season 1. Just saw and remembered that Wilzig knew Lucy's last name. Don't think that has circled around again.
